Waiting for 30 mins or more on the phone only to be told there are no appointments available and have to ring again the next day. Aren’t even able to book a blood test over the phone and have to wait for 3 weeks just to book an appointment and get there to book a blood test
As a person who has been in the premises today all I can say is excellent service and polite staff, but when I was the witness to a member of the public handing out mouth attitude and abuse to a very polite staff member on reception all because he couldn't get what he wanted at the time.
Then I have to say that I feel sorry for the staff at the premises.
As no one should be on the recieving end of that sort of abuse.
I have attended the clinic for an appointment this week. I had a query regarding my sons medication. The receptionist Karen went over and beyond to assist me. Shes an absolute gem. She took the time to understood the root cause of the query and did her upmost to resolve.
After a phone assessment with 111 yesterday, an out of hours appointment was advised. I had never visited this practice before.
I then received a call from the receptionist at 6:50pm which was very brief and actually ended before I was given the address or even a postcode. The receptionist asked during the call how soon I could get myself there - as I was reliant on a taxi, I said maybe 7:15pm-7:30pm ish depending on the location. No appointment time was given.
After getting off the phone, I realised I had no idea where I was heading to for the appointment. I called the phone number back immediately and was met with an automated 'Closed' message. I Googled the phone number which directed me to the BARDOC service and I looked up local practices, but I wanted to be sure I was heading to the right place.
I phoned 111 again and managed to get the information after a few minutes wait on hold. I scheduled a taxi to get me there for 7:30pm but the taxi driver dropped me off at the incorrect place - a ten minute walk away. When I got to the reception desk at approximately 7:40pm, I was asked my name and when I gave it, the receptionist (female, white blonde hair, glasses) frowned at me and said "you're late for your appointment." As I tried to explain what had happened, she spoke over me and told me to take a seat. When already feeling unwell and in an unfamiliar place by myself, this service was not what I expected at all. As I had not been given an appointment time, how could I possibly be late?
The appointment with the doctor was fine and I was issued with a prescription and advice, but the welcome from the receptionist has left me with a bad impression of this practice. A little compassion and professionalism would go a long way, especially when communicating with unwell people.

Hello everyone,
I have the worst experience with out of hour, so called 'GP'... I wish that I'd know her name so I can complain...on Sunday 10:30am asian out of
hour. The GP: she was so rude that it made me feeling like walking off..and from no where does she has aatticates to speak to patients.
I can exactly tell you the time and date, so the nhs and organisers know who she is.
Appointment Time: Sun 27 Aug, 10:30 AM . The GP was wearing a covid mask.
Absolute shambles of a place. Security guy is a piece of work. The doctors their are lazy. I had an appointment and I could choose any appointment slots.. when I arrived there was 6 people sat there and I was told it was a 2 hour wait.
The doctor previously prescribed me with medication which I told him I’ve already had and it’s not strong enough.. he said “ it might work this time” (it definitely didn’t that’s why I’m here)
I’ve had the same medication twice and he told me after asking him what happens if it doesn’t work.. “ you would come back and I’ll prescribe something stronger”… even though I had already told him it already didn’t work?
Now I’m here 3 weeks later, condition is worse and still no further along to a solution. Absolute shambles of a place! If you need medical attention, don’t come here.. the staff are not friendly and very unprofessional.
Unfortunately, I had the experience of having to visit this health centre only to encounter such a rude and unhelpful conversation with the man on the reception. After being advised by an out of hours pharmacist to visit this centre to gain an emergency prescription, myself and my partner were rudely informed that this centre is not a walk in centre. My partner also was rudely informed that he could not use the toilet unless he had an appointment. To top the encounter off we had the most sarcastic "take care" when leaving. I understand there are reasons as to having appointments, not using the toilets however there is never any need to be rude, especially after informing him that we were advised by an out of hours pharmacist.
