Best hotdogs in belfast. Fresh cooked dog on a hot steamed bun with your choice if toppings what's not to like. You would think it's a messy eat but the toppings are just right. Recommend the Western dog and chili cheese dog. One is not enough
Must be a tough Mainer with a cast iron stomach meant to eat a mack truck. Awful, low quality gut bubbling slop. The bacon chili dogs were a pile of mush followed by painful bathroom trips later. Tried a second time and got a bacon "burger". The salisbury steakish patty they called a burger was just awful. The onion and mustard flavor was DELICIOUS but masked by the horrid slab of mystery meat in the middle. This place used to be iconic, now they just want more money for less quality.
I've been going here off and on since I was in High School over 20 years ago now. Small food shops have always been a personal favorite of mine, the hole in the wall, so to speak. This little place has the best Chili Cheese Dogs. They also have a variety of other hot dog favorites and even burgers. This is a great quick stop for lunch or an on the go snack. The people are great and friendly. Service is very prompt. Do bare in mind that it is a popular stop and could be busy during lunchtime hours, but I feel the wait is worth it. I'm almost willing to bet that Sonic The Hedgehog would approve of this place, due to his love of Chili Dogs. Bonne Appetite!
Some things are meant to be greasy, and Wasses is one of those things. Time your trip with the Friday night antique auto show, also in the Reny's plaza parking lot, and you'll have recreated one of my fondest childhood memories.
I dont eat hot dogs often but wesses has some good dogs. Definitely recommend the western dog. Tried a bite of my husband's and then ate it all on him ???? oops their kraut dog was really good too
Wasses hot dogs in Belfast Maine are outstanding! They also make Cheeseburgers. If you want everything on the hot dog including Ketsup make sure you specify. Also to my knowledge they do use peanut oil for frying just in case anyone has allergies. You should know this but ask just in case they have made any changes.
The cheeseburger here are so good! They have improved over the years and are cheaper then other establishments around!! Hot dogs are good also! Go for a hot dog and a cheeseburger yummy!!!
Can't beat the food or the prices! We're visiting ME from NC, and this might be our top pick! The hot dogs and the burgers were both delicious.
