I had a catastrophic ball joint failure 2 blocks away. I managed to get a tow to this shop late at night. They had my truck fixed by the end of the following day. Highly recommended.
Excellent experience, the owner Pierre is honest and friendly, Davey was the mechanic who replaced my clutch plate assembly and my brake shoes and wheel cylinder. They did a great job for an honest price and they did it quickly. They even were glad to adjust my clutch pedal response to my liking when i came back a half hour after i got my car back. They also showed me the old brake shoes and clutch plate and explained the wear on both, which was great because i am always curious about the internals! Just a lovely experience and i am a satisfied customer! Thank you.
I wish I could give this place "0" stars. the body shop /uhaul pickup location at 666 Washington Ave in prospect heights brooklyn should not be allowed to rent uhauls. it is extremely UNSANITARY, the cars are in terrible condition and they are parked all up and down Washington avenue, not even in their lot.
the man working behind the counter who refused to tell me his name was probably the rudest person i have ever encountered and should absolutely not be dealing with the public let alone represent a company. this was Saturday august 5 2023 at 9am.
he handed me the keys to a dirty and smelly van that was way down another block that 1. had a flat front tire and 2. was filthy and smelled like cigarettes. i took a photo of the tire and when i walked back in to the shop he told me that it was just the indicator light. i showed him the photo where the tire was visibly flat. he said to bring the van around and they would fill it with air. i told him i didn't want to pay for all of this time going in and out and i didn't feel comfortable driving a van w a bad tire when i was moving furniture. i asked to please swap out the vehicle and he said there were no more vans avail and took the next customer - i asked him for his name and he refused to tell me. i then asked for a full refund and he continued to ignore me. he came from behind the desk and i asked him his name again and he refused to answer and never came back.
The owner Pierre is Amazing and the sweetest too. He and his staff are professional and fast. I refer all my friends to him knowing he will take care of them at a reasonable and deal with them honestly (not like some other mechanics who would take advantage of you and overcharge you, that's not these guys they are fair and honest to the T! If your looking for a Honest and cost efficient mechanic you can find that at Washington Transmissions , and oh yeah they also rent UHAULS too !
Wonderful mechanic and service. Pierre is a true professional with many years of experience. I will continue to use Washington Transmissions for many years to come.
I rented a U-Haul van from here to buy some furniture from IKEA and they charged me a cleaning fee. I'm at a complete loss as to why I got charged for that and feel like I got scammed.
I in no way contributed any mess to that van and let's hope they actually clean the van with the money I'm spending on it because the interior was nowhere near pristine when I received it.
If you're looking for a place to get a U-Haul, I'd strongly recommending finding a place with more honest people - not this place!
Cut the third party out & Go where it say UHAUL. I been Double charge for a truck. Individual claimed complications with debit card. Which there wasnt. A physical Deposit was given after one was taken from card. Individual assured that nothing was removed from card. Couple mins turned into a half hour. No regard for customer!!! Once transaction was completed individual then became passive. Unresponsive !!!!! Not to trust !!! Do a physical inspection. miles especially. The lil time it take to inspect will save u money.!!!!!
Good and honest mechanics who are very knowledgeable of their craft. If they are unable to fix your car, they will tell you and refer you to someone who can.
