Best KPortal Reviews
We went there for all you can eat sushi dinner and it was delicious! The remodel and inside was nicely revamped! The food was delicious and service was exceptionally quick. Melody took care of us and she was very friendly and outgoing! Definitely will be recommending this to friends and family and will be back again soon!
Love the new look of the store. The staff is much more hospitable than they were previously.
However, with the revamp, they have changed the menu and I am not overly impressed, namely with the chicken fried rice. This was my favorite dish from here, as it was simple with only chicken, rice, and egg. I even got my coworkers hooked on it as well. But they've added corn to it now, which completely dampens and sweetens the entire flavor. It is hardly appetizing now.
Their new system is also pretty iffy. You come in, sit down, and order a buffet for $16, rather than just ordering your dishes individually. I can only eat small meals due to some personal issues, and paying $16 for the one dish I want is ridiculous. Not only that, but there's an upcharge of $0.75 per piece for leftovers, so if you do take advantage of the buffet and cannot finish, you get charged to take it home. I understand this may be the style of operation for buffets, but Wasabi was not this way beforehand and the change is deeply frustrating for people like myself who frequented beforehand. I am unsure of the current takeout system, so I will not speak on it, but regardless, not having the option to not do the buffet when dining in is ridiculous.
I was excited by the prospect of a revamp, but terrified they may change the menu. Unfortunately, they have and it is definitely not the same. I cannot recommend this place anymore, and it's sad to me, as this was definitely my favorite restaurant that I spent a lot of money at. My family and I will definitely not be dining here again unless, at the very least, the fried rice is reverted back to what it was before the revamp.
The new owners have done a very good job on the upgrade !! Food and service was excellent !! Our only "suggestions" are a little sweeter on shrimp sauce and thicker sweet and sour ! That's it !! Server's were nice and polite and the sweet tea was perfect!! Food was excellent and will be back again !!
We came in on a whim and ordered 6 different sushi rolls. We got them in record time and they were all so SO good. Highly recommend trying them out. They were fast and friendly. They also offer all you can eat sushi for just over 20$!!
Staff is friendly and attentive, can't beat the all you can eat pricing. And the food was delicious.. Didn't match the pictures but the chicken was hunks of real white meat. Taste was spot on.
Not much to look at from the outside. As a matter of fact when I saw outside I wanted to go somewhere else. Once inside the staff was very good and the sushi was outstanding. I ordered about ten different sushi rolls for 4 people. The variety was simply outstanding. Miso soup and wow. There was so much left over we all took some home for dinner . I highly recommend this place. Do not judge the book by the cover.
So I came in on a Saturday. I had been there previously and it was great, no issues, but this time, not so great. I brought my grandson with me and everything was good until I wanted to place a second order. I filled out the small sheet, placed it to the side and waited. After I saw no one was coming to pick it up I finally had a ask someone could I input my second order. The lady grabbed the paper and informed me, in a rude tone, "You do know there is a surcharge if you don't eat it all." I replied, jokingly, "I am very greedy." It was one of the Asian female employess. When I finished and picked up the check I reported it to the manager. I asked him to inform her I ate all of it because she didn't want to put in my second order. I felt humiliated as if I didn't read the info about the extra charge on the menu or as if I couldn't afford to pay more I really wish I would have got that waitress' name. She truly ruined my dining experience this time around. I doubt if I'll return.
I was looking for a quick bite to eat close by after getting some supplies and happened to walk into Wasabi.
The server said I could customize and substitute my meal with only rice or only noodles or even double up or replace veggies etc. That flexibility is why I decided to dine here and just got 2 bowls of soup instead of the salad.
The large sake is only $6.99 but the small bottle for $3.99 was more than enough for both of us. It was a decent meal.
I gave 4* bcos they charge 75 cents for yum yum sauce. I didn't order any yum yum sauce but on principle I don't like restaurants that nickel and dime patrons. That's like charging for ketchup with an order of fries or a burger.
