I like it here. Food is on the mark. a few of the oysters tasted a bit mushy and sticky, but the majority were juicy and fresh. Given the price, I think it’s great value. I will certainly come back when I’m in town!

My husband & I decided to give this place a try, and we’re so glad we did! The food was hot, fresh, & delicious. We’re looking forward to dining in soon. We highly recommend. Check them out, you won’t regret it!!

Hands down one of the best experiences. Our server Kristen was awesome. Checked on us multiple times & food came very quickly! Highly recommend for some great seafood!

What a hidden gem. We live in a lake house nearby (out of town) and the restaurants are all in town. We happened to drive by this place which is out in no where land. We decided to give it a try from reading reviews online. Wow. Simply wow. We were seated by the server, Britini, who gave us excellent service! She was extremely courteous and quick with everything. We had an order of raw oysters, shrimp and catfish and an order of gumbo. Wow. Again wow. I'm impressed with the food as well. I've done many reviews for restaurants but for a restaurant out here it's a five ???? star and worth a trip from in town to out of town. I will be back for desert and to try out other items on the menu.

Update 3/19/22 .. place is still a nice hidey hole and good food. Service is slower and prices are through the roof. Still a good place.

Ward’s Catfish Hole in Hot Springs is WONDERFUL! We went on a Thursday night, and even though Wards is not on a ‘main drag’, and we were there in the 'off-season' for Hot Springs, we were impressed the parking lot was FULL! We already knew the food would be great when all the locals and the work crews from the area are present!

The layout of the restaurant is simple, open and spacious—even with the crowd! You could see the kitchen, which I like…and it was clean!

The restaurant is family-friendly.

The tables appear to be built on site, they are wooden and sturdy.

The bathrooms are spacious, freshly painted, and CLEAN!

The FOOD….the fish and crawfish were fresh, cooked perfectly and we got plenty of it.

They offer Oysters, which are not my favorite, but my family raved about them.

The Crawfish are served in ‘mounds’, in the traditional fashion. Our neighbors were enjoying them immensely.

Ward’s Catfish Hole offers a wide variety of beers and they have ‘bucket specials’.

The prices are more than fair considering the quality and portions we received.

Will we return? You bet we will!

This place was awesome! We were visiting from California and our family in Arkansas couldn't wait for us to try this place. We were waiting in the parking lot before they even opened. It was definitely worth the hype. It was my very first time having crawfish... they were great... messy but great. Service was fantastic, everyone was super friendly and excited we came all the way from California. I highly recommend this location!!

I hate to even post a review because I really can’t comment fairly on the food since we never ate anything. I guess it’s our mistake to think we could have a nice sit down meal on a Friday night during spring break weekend but this place obviously is not fully prepared for this type of crowd! We waited for 2 hours for a table and were never seated. Finally we just decided to leave. We did sit at the bar during this time and have drinks. That part was nice and we got to visit with family for a while which is why I am going to go ahead and give it a 3 star review. I think this place should seriously consider making reservations especially on weekends because there are too many people that show up to eat and they are not prepared for it. I felt so bad for the young kids working there and I hope the kid that walked out can find another job!

OK, good!! I’m glad he didn’t walk out! We were just going by what we were told. I hope to be back sometime. I never give up on a place just because of one bad experience….any one at anytime can have a bad night!
