I was treated by Sara today. I hadn't been to a dentist for 5 years. Sara has excellent patient care and attitude to patients and kept in saying "well done" after I told her I had white coat syndrome. She was very professional, positive, friendly and respectful and offered some great advice. Felt like a privilege to be in her treatment room. The receptionists were also very patient with my questions. Thank you Wanstead Village, you have inspired me even more to look after my teeth.
Dear Dr Sara khurm and your lovely team, thank you is a small word to describe all that you have given to me last few weeks. Thank you for the special treatment without any pain. It was the opposite of my previous experiences.
Thank you for the special love, care, lovely smiles and specially by taking responsibility for everything that relates to your patient. I will never forget it and this taste will stay with me forever.
*The dentist Ms Mukta Shah refused to refund*
I was asked to fill il a LENGTHY medical history form before my first check up. I had added VERY CLEARLY on the form: “I have a cold sore”.
When I went there, she said “I can’t do anything because you have a cold sore”. I said “So you did not read my medical history form? You should have advised me not to attend?” To which she could not obviously give me any answer.
*Note: I had taken time out of work, which I could not afford to take, I had paid a ULEZ and car parking charge*
My husband, who had paid the £40 deposit, sent her a very polite email, in which he explained the above and asked if I could have some form of financial discount on my eventual bill on 3rd January. She replied that would not be possible.
She is not even good. In the past she injected me an overdose of adrenaline. I had a very fast heart rate and was almost fainting. Awful service.
I was seen by an dentist Anjali. She seemed uninterested in engaging, initially no introduction, I was asked to lay on the couch and she communicated with me the back of the room, the back of my head. When asked if I had any problem with my teeth, I pointed to the teeth, she was still in her seat! I asked if she could see! Clearly not interested!
Can only say excellent things about this practice. I’ve been a patient here for many years as an NHS patient and recently needed some significant treatment. The receptionist staff (who despite seeing some negative reviews about, are wonderful; they are human beings at the end of the day so if you treat them like that and speak/treat them politely, will reciprocate) ensured I was able to see the dentist within a day. My dentist was able to identify the problem and manage all appointments for the treatment I needed within a short period of time and resolve a problem which could have in the long term have caused a major financial cost or even worse: a missing tooth.
Carry on the good work Wanstead Dental Health ????
New to the practice and went for my first appointment and first checkup in 3 years. Although they were a bit delayed (about 10 minutes), the dentist I saw was really friendly and informative. Happy to discuss anything I had concerns on and I didn't feel rushed. I felt that I had a lot more judgement of my own mouth and my self-diagnosed issues then they did; I felt no judgement from at all them but also their answers to my questions reassured me that they was taking everything seriously. Even got x-rays during the general checkup which I wasn't expecting. I got a new appointment booked at the same appointment for some followup treatments (about 1.5 months later; which is to be expected). Really pleased overall with the experience. Will update once I've had the treatments in a few months time.
I am a new patient. Was in a lot of pain when the practice accepted to see me for a emergency appointment. The dentist Dr. Cheung has since been a great help providing me with detailed information and options at each stage of the treatment.
Staff at the practice has been so helpful as well.
I have been a patient of this practice for many years. The staff are wonderful - all very friendly and helpful. Regular appointments take a while to get, but that is to be expected at any NHS dentist. I would definitely recommend this practice.
