Used to be my go to years ago and we stopped a while back as it was going down hill. . Decided to try again as someone said it’s under new management. Chowmein was tasteless and dry with hardly any chicken and had to add lashings of soy sauce to get flavour. Salt and pepper chips were the same and I actually had to put some of my own spice to them for flavour also. Won’t be back. Plus was prawn crackers but you can’t really mess them up.
Just barely made it through the door before they closed at 22.40pm. Lovely reception by staff, fantastic food made to order. Will definitely not regret trying this Chinese takeaway.
I have used this carryout since 1980 and have had no complaints. The reason I am writing this review is to let customers know you only get 1 bottle of coke, small spring rolls, prawn crackers and two fortune cookies no matter how much you spend over £25. Last week my order was £86 I still only got the above mentioned extras so keep that in mind if ordering a large amount and expecting More. By the way the food was excellent
I order from this place every weekend and I can assure you, it is the best Chinese in Scotland!! So nice and full of flavor!! Not to mention the most polite and helpful staff!! Keep it up guys!!
Just recently moved to the area and was wanting a takeaway, as Wam Lam is just down the road from my house I thought I'd give them a try, I will definitely be using again, the food was delicious and very generous portions, definitely worth five stars.
We placed an ordered and expected delivery at 7.30pm tonight (45 minutes after placing the order) its now 8.40pm and still no sign. This is after 2 phone calls requesting an update. I just wish people would set realistic expectations.
Update 9pm - its now arrived and in the microwave.
Last update - As ever the food was amazing hence why the star rating has increased.
Delicious, quality food, very quick and courteous service. Definite winner.
