This is by far one of the most incredibly patient and accommodating shops i have ever had the pleasure of dealing with. I needed a supercharger rebuilt and i called dozens of independent and commercial shops and no one was willing to take on the task, understanding of my situation Walt’s agreed to help me even though it was a project they didn’t really have time to take on. I had my truck towed in and it was then discovered the supercharger was unsalvageable. Instead of taking advantage of me and “rebuilding the supercharger” just for it to fail less than a hundred miles later like the last shop did they called me immediately and notified me of the problem. They provided pictures of the damage and i ordered a new supercharger. However i got one that needed modifications to install that they didn’t have the time to perform as this was a speciality project and they had other work they needed to complete. I couldn’t make arrangements for a tow until nearly a week later and they let me leave my truck in the parking lot when it was packed to the gills. Throughout the entire time my truck was there they were professional, kind, respectful and patient with me, i would not hesitate to have any work done here in the future.
Don’t come here.. $800 later and I have the same problem with my transmission. My boyfriend taught himself how to fix the problem to my car from YouTube - he went under the hood and saw that these people did not even connect pieces back together in my car. No wonder my car crapped out on Nova and I was almost hit 3x trying to get home. Such shame on you for not even regarding a persons safety.
Update: I purchased the trans fluid and brought it to them (at their request) but they never used it. My car stalled out, again, after not having enough fluid.
I really hope the $800 is worth the bad energy you’ve placed upon yourself.
I was told diagnostic test battery was low 4volts, I agreed, the battery was replaced. The next day same problem occurred, truck cut off, I couldn’t return due to heavy rain and approaching Thanksgiving Holiday. I called Steve Monday after the holiday whom said it sounds like an intermittent problem that they didn’t want to waist time to find. I was pleasant while speaking to him via of phone but he left me to believe my service was not wanted. I don’t understand why was there a problem to further check. I was in of there within an hour with the battery replacement. His tone via of phone was hostile without me being hostile. I had no problem with the service but the attitude was nasty

i do not recommend this place at all. ZERO stars! my car was here for almost 3 months for an engine swap. they never gave me a list of everything i needed, only called me every other day to go get parts that weren’t even in stock so that took a month. the last two months the motor has been in and done they’re been trying to figure out why i have issues i never had before. first they thought it was my high pressure fuel pump & sensor (nothing they even touched doing the engine and had no issues prior to them touching my car) done and wasted money that wasn’t an issue. then they thought it was my cam gears (which were new from the person who rebuilt the new motor) done and wasted money more money that wasn’t an issue. its one thing after another and now they think my turbo is bad, which was carried over from my old engine and never had an issue and the shop foreman Eric told me he had a bolt stuck in my turbo, which is on recording ???? they have NO clue what they are doing here and once you confront the owner Steve, he will get very salty very fast. i’d do yourself a favor and find mechanics who know what they are doing!!!
I just brought my late model Mercedes in to Walts for a new radiator and oil change....these mechanics are great! And the price was reasonable too! Ty!
IVE KNOWN STEVE AT WALTZ AUTO SINCE 1986. LAST MARCH HE PUT IN A NEW REBUILT TRANSMISSION AND IN DECEMBER HE HAD TO PUT IN A NEW REBUILT ENGINE. BOTH WERE EXPENSIVE. I JUST NOW HAD A FUEL PUMP PUT IN AND A GROUND WIRE UNDER THE TRUCK REPAIRED THAT ONE WAS $852.00 AS OF NOW I CAN'T AFFORD ANOTHER TRUCK REPAIR, HOWEVER AFTER HE FIXES MY TRUCK IT SEEMINGLY WORKS WELL. MY TRUCK IS A 01 DODGE RAM 1500 2 WHEEL DR. 5.2 318 MOTOR. THE TRUCK IS PRACTICALLY REBUILT.
THEY DO GOOD WORK AT WALTZ AUTO. ON MY TRANSMISSION IN ORANGE CITY DAVID JOHNSON'S GARAGE WANTED $5,000 FOR A NEW REBUILT TRANSMISSION. STEVE AT WALTZ AUTO TOLD ME THAT MY TRANSMISSION IS ONLY $2,500 NOT FIVE THOUSAND. HE SENT HIS TOW TRUCK FROM DAYTONA BEACH AND HAD IT TOWED TO HIS GARAGE IN DAYTONA I WAS IN THE TOW TRUCK TOO. IT TOOK ALMOST TWO MONTHS TO REPLACE THE TRANSMISSION SO I STAYED AT A FRIENDS HOUSE AS I DO WHILE USING MY TRUCK TO WORK IN DAYTONA AND ORMOND BEACH. WALTZ SAVED MY OVER $2,000 ON MY NEW REBUILT TRANSMISSION INCLUDING THE $175.00 TOW FROM DAVID JOHNSON'S GARAGE ORANGE CITY TO DAYTONA BEACH WALTZ AUTO WHERE I HAD STEVE PUT IN THE NEW REBUILT TRANSMISSION A YEAR AGO 2023. "AUTO REPAIRS ARE EXPENSIVE I KNOW BUT IT COULD BE MUCH WORSE. MY TRUCK IS VERY OLD AND HAS ALOT OF ORIGINAL PARTS IAM SURE. AT LEAST AT WALTZ AUTO MY TRUCK DOES GET REPAIRED AND THE WORK IS SATISFACTORY.

I took my car here to get it worked on I paid over two thousand dollars and when I got my car back it was other things wrong with it that wasn't when I dropped it off and then when I took my car back they wanted more money to fix something happened while it was there and when I refused he didn't want to fix my car this is the last place I would ever recommend they will take your money and leave your car worst than when you dropped it off
