I finally stopped in there tonight & I am so glad I did ! The pulled pork &smashed potatoes were awesome! I can't wait to go back! Update: I finally went here on a Saturday afternoon for the ribeye special, I had heard only good things about the steak night & I had to find out for myself. WOW! It was as good as everyone had said! I have had many steaks in my life & this place is now my # 1! The atmosphere & service are second to none..

I got here just in time before they ran out of ribs again. Thank goodness straight from church. Never a disappointment thank you Ryan ????

Wally's is the best kept secret in Southern Illinois. The craft BBQ is outstanding. All the sides are phenomenal. Saturday is Steak Night and, he has the best steak I have ever had. Getting ready to open the doors on his restaurant soon, can't wait!!!

Stopped by this place for BBQ after a hike. Saw the great reviews online, and they were not wrong at all. Just amazing BBQ. Had a sampler plate. Ribs, Brisket, pulled pork, all amazing and tender. His pulled pork was so great and moist, I needed another pound of it. His beans were super great as well. My wife got the Turkey, and said it was the best she had ever had in a restaurant and very moist. The owner was very nice as well, and we talked BBQ after our meal for a bit. Sat outside by the firepit because it was a super nice day for November, and we had our puppy with us, but the inside restaurant looked very nice. Just great all the way around.

Setting is small old time diner / bar. Very clean and waitress helpful and friendly. Absolutely great food and service. Had the steaks because reviews were good. Cooked and seasoned perfectly. Husband very picky-said best steak he has ever had out. Cooked just like he wanted it. Grilled Vegetables, Smashed potatoes, baked bean's - can't remember the name but wow they were good. Big portions but everything was so good had to have dessert. Had apple butter bread pudding with cinnamon ice cream. Oh yeah. Save some room. Loved it.

Just happened upon this place and gave it a try. The food was GREAT!! The owner (I assume) made small talk with us while he was gathering our order off the grill. The baked beans had small pieces of brisket in them. The meat was falling off the ribs and the brisket was so tender it was like it almost melted in my mouth. We recently moved to the area so we will be repeat customers for sure. Great little BBQ establishment here!

Great find! Had outdoor seating and indoor seating. We had our dog with us, and so we enjoyed the 100% countryside setting!!! We were also hauling our travel trailer, and there was plenty of parking. We will definitely be stopping by here again. The service was great as well ???????? ????

This place was amazing! Great bbq sauce, tangy but sweet cole slaw, amazing brisket, ribs and pulled pork. Would definitely recommend if you are in the area!
