We came to celebrate my dad's birthday. The server was 5 stars. She was attentive, friendly and memory like no other. Ambiance is lacking. Dated interior and if you come here recommend seating outside as inside was insanely loud we could barely talk to the people next to us. Chowder is phenomenal and one of the best I've had. The rest of the food was just ok.
Fantastic little place to eat with many different seafood options. It came highly recommended by my girlfriend and it did not disappoint! We got the combo platter which came with Beer battered Halibut, Prawns, Scallops, Clam Strips & Cod Medallions which tasted fantastic. We also got the White Clam Chowder Bread Bowl which came with a generous romaine salad. Everything was super fresh and the combo platter came with fresh caught fish which was great!
I would highly recommend to anyone in the area.
We missed the Sunday rush fortunately. Heard of Wally's for years but we live so far away. Decided to finally try them out. Was not disappointed. For a small cozy joint that isn't upscale the food was surprisingly at that level. We ordered Fresh Ling Cod and a Salmon Filet dish. I am a salmon snob and it's rare to find a restaurant that can do it justice. I was told they have their own boats where they catch and flash freeze fish. So the pre-frozen salmon actually had a very fresh like texture even though it was almost overcooked and didn't have a fishy smell. It was placed on a bed of tangy flavored rice. The fresh cod was truly fresh. That's another that can be messed up. Oh my gosh was it light and tender. And get this, it was deep fried. I don't prefer deep fried anything and had to give it a try. The batter around it is not that smooth doughy oil soaked version. It's the bread crumb type. The four piece were huge so come hungry because fried food doesn't travel well. Or order the cod tacos. We saw those huge bad boys at the next table but they weren't as hefty as the dish I had to finish. Next time, yes, there will be a next time, we will try the house made desserts that apparently they are famous for. The only thing I was meh about was the clam chowder. Yes, it's good, but I prefer a bit more flavor and a hint more salt. But that's okay, you can add a bit of sherry or malt vinegar to give it a kick. May I ask that you have the staff clean the outside of the table condiments. They were all sticky. The decor is fun but not in your face. The outside of the building is covered in lights, kind of silly but cheerful. Menus are fun, a bit cluttered but matches the personality of the restaurant. Our server was very knowledgeable about the company which I appreciate. He answered all my questions regarding allergies and origin of the seafood. I'm giving it a four for now, until I visit a second time when I order a non-fried item and the dessert.
It’s Valentine’s Day, and I’m out of town with my colleagues for business. I’ve been here in Washington state now for about three days. This is the first place in the three days where the food was excellent. And may I add very affordable.
I ordered steak and lobster. My one colleague ordered steak with clam chowder, and the other one ordered chicken sandwich and calamari fries.
Wallys has literally the best clam chowder that I’ve had thus far. It is so addicting. The calamari fries are fresh and I just absolutely wonderful. My other colleague said that her chicken sandwich was really good. My other colleague enjoyed his clam chowder just as much as I enjoyed his clam chowder, and he loved his steak. Let me just say the steak is wonderfully flavored. My steak and lobster absolutely divine. The steak is cooked perfect and lobster was too.
The service is also excellent! The restaurant itself is very homey.
I enjoyed this place so much I will definitely be back and I highly recommend it to anyone who has not had Wallys !
Came here on date day with the fiance and I wasn't disappointed. Parking lot is small, expect delays with parking but the inside is on the smaller scale but big enough. It was busy when we arrived and the waitress was very patient with the fact my fiance was seriously indecisive. He ordered the bottomless prawns and wasn't disappointed. He was upset we shared a chowder bread bowl for our appetizer because he didn't have enough room for the amount of prawns he wanted. I will say that my fiance and i were in agreement that the Cesar salad we ordered as a side with the bread bowl was one of the best we've ever had. I had the crab melts which was crab over a biscuit with some cheese sauce, delicious but the bun was a teensy on the sweet side given the dungeness is a sweet meat as well, their side fettuccine was spot on. All in all, a delicious meal. We spent three quarters of the day stuffed to comatose status and their fries and white chowder is to die for.
Very full of flavor! Sometimes you get fish & chips and its bland, not here! Everything tasted amazing. I got the all you can eat fish medallions and chowder for 23.99, great deal!
Friends suggested this place for chowder! After the gondola ride at Crystal, this is where we came for lunch on a Saturday. No wait, seated right away for a party of 5, near the bar where you’re surrounded with TVs to watch the football game!
I ordered the shrimp and lobster quesadilla and glad they had a half order and a side cup white chowder! Everything was delicious- should have gotten a bowl size chowder!
Fish and chips and chicken strips were fried to perfection. We were satisfied.
Best ???? fish and chips I've ever had. First time I've had fresh halibut was at this place. Almost melts in your mouth! Clam chowder was buttery and creamy.
