I love Walkers. They are the best to go to in Central Arkansas if you are craving traditional southern comfort foods... look no further. Some Sundays, they have excellent chittlins. They are amazing and if you are a real finally they need is hot sauce and hot water cornbread (all of which is available. Close your eyes and taste and it takes you back to those good family dinners at big mama's house.
The pricing is reasonable, however, the quality of the food is subpar. The adage "looks can be deceiving" certainly applies in this case, as the establishment's name suggests a soulful dining experience, but the food lacks any semblance of soul. Furthermore, the side dish contained an excessive amount of noodles and uncooked red hamburger meat. At a cost of $6.99, the food's taste does not match its appearance. The cornbread was also disappointing. I will post photographs to support my claims. If the establishment can improve its culinary offerings to match the expectations set by its name, "Soul Good," I may consider returning. However, until then, I cannot recommend this establishment. It is misleading to name a business "Soul Food" if the food does not reflect the dedication and effort that should go into creating authentic soul food. I asked for apple pie, the server asked the lady In back if they had that option twice but lady shrugged her shoulders saying she didn’t know so the server said they didn’t, I guess the lady In back didn’t feel like preparing the apple pie. My debit card only works by tapping but I saw the cashier trying to insert card, so I asked her if the tapping worked. She replied “if it worked I would have been using it”!!! Terrible service!!!

A friend suggested this place so I figured I'd check it out. It's cafeteria style so there's a wide selection of meats, sides and veggies to choose from. I got fried chicken (leg &thigh), corn and mac-n-cheese. Cornbread was also included, but you can choose a roll instead. The cornbread was ok but a bit crumbly. The mac and corn were both decent. The chicken, while cooked well and having an appetizing appearance, was disappointingly bland in flavor. Just needs some salt or seasoning salt or something. I may come back and try some ox tails or something else. The server was very friendly and provided a good explanation of the menu and pricing.
It's dark, uninviting. Nasty looking display. Food doesn't look appetizing. Very distasteful in flavor. Need major improvements to ever go back.... would not recommend
My luck with Walkers lately hasn’t been the best. Food cost way too much to still have to come home and cook. If the lady hadn’t put meat on all the plates and fixed half of my food already I would have walked out.
