I went to the “ Waldo’s Restaurant “ for a birthday party for a friend. This on the ocean establishment has wonderful history and great character. The food is quite tasty. Great service with helpful staff that go out of their way to get it right. This can be a very romantic experience with your loved one due to the beach being so close. We sat outside on the covered patio and there was a nice breeze. The tables on with the ocean view have no shade. The atmosphere is super casual with a kitchy and fun decor. The waiter brought our service dogs a special made chicken breast at no charge. He got a good tip.
Very unique building and restaurant. You really won’t know it’s there unless you look it up or are a local. Maureen was our server. Wow. She was exceptional! Very friendly. A great waitress. Ordered 1/2 pound peel and eat shrimp. Lots of flavor and a good size. Also had the Pittsburgher and added bleu cheese crumbles. Came on toasted bread. So good. If you go, sit ALONG THE WATer. Anywhere else would be a waste.
Great view, service, and food was good enough, just not great all around, and looked good. Taco shrimp salad thing dressing did not like. Cocktail sauce is excellent, as well as coconut sauce dip. Beer batter to greasy on shrimp and dolphin fingers.
Great rustic place by the beach to grab a quick bite or a multi-course meal!!! Tyler was impressive in the execution of his duties as our server. He had a ready answer for any and all questions asked. This was our first time going to Waldo's and it won't be our last.
Absolutely delicious!! Chicken wings were so delicious the meat fell off the bone. And those French fries, by God them fries were delectable. The wife had the chicken quesadilla and it was out of this world. We saw dolphin in the ocean. Lovely night for beachside dining. Thanks, Waldo’s!!
Waldo’s is a fabulous restaurant inside the historic driftwood inn! Location is perfect, right on the ocean front with its own boardwalk! We had a fabulous meal and service was amazing! Coconut shrimp the best we have had!! Prime rib cooked to perfection, would thoroughly recommend!
Loved sitting on the deck next to the ocean.
Had a starter of onion rings, they were good.
My Jamaican spice Mahi sandwich was short on fish and flavor.
The blackened Mahi tacos were not flavorful, my friend had to add ranch to them
The coconut shrimp dinner was good and the plate was packed with food.
My pina colada was just sweet, not very good.
Would not go back or recommend.
