Best KPortal Reviews

We came to eat on Labor Day evening and we were so pleased to find them open and not busy. The gentleman at the front seemed less than enthused when he greeted us but he was a bit friendlier when we asked him for recommendations since it was our first time. We went with the special which was three tacos with choice of meat. The chicken was dry but the beef and pork were tasty. The taco salad was hearty and the flavorful and the shell was fresh and crispy. The quesadilla was good and hearty. All in all, we enjoyed the food and the ambiance of the combined real estate with the brewery next door. We are not beer drinkers but it’s cool that you can order at Wako Taco and have your food brought to you next door at the connected brewery. I would be interested to come back and give it another shot.
whenever i stop by hourglass for a few beers, its a ritual for me to go to wako taco and get their birrias with their signature habanero sauce (perfect combo)! i love that you can order your food and they’ll bring it over to you if you’re seated at hourglass. quick and super friendly service
I personally wasn’t too impressed by the food here, but my fiancé really liked his tacos. The meat in mine was dry and the taco itself lacked flavor. There was a hot sauce that they came around and offered, and I would say that’s what saved my tacos. The queso was very underwhelming, also no flavor which was disappointing. I guess the two of us had different expectations, and because of this, he suggested I give 4 stars!
As we walked in, only 3 guys waited at a table for their food. There was a guy at the register. It probably took him a few minutes to look up and recognize us. No big deal because we really wanted to try their tacos. My husband got the 3 beef tacos, and I ordered the Mahi fish tacos. Then I noticed the vegan hibiscus tacos. As he had already placed my order, the guy heard my excitement about the vegan one. He was kind enough to offer to replace one of my fish tacos with a vegan one. We sat at a table and waited, not long. As we waited, I noticed a lady walk in and then walk out. She seemed upset that the fellow at the register did not greet her or even look up. Same as when we walked in. He brought our food to us. Along with a 2 different sauces. The sauce was just meh, and I could do better. My fish tacos were supposed to come with red onions on top. I don't know how they made their onions, but it looked like tuns fish clumped up and had no taste. The vegan taco with good, although I would have added some toppings, as it just came with the hibiscus flower that was in some kind of sauce. I do not believe they make the hibiscus flower, tasted pre-made, and prepackaged. My husband ate his tacos and stated they were nothing to write home about. I don't think I am missing anything by not going back. Life is too short to waste time eating tacos that are just mediocre.
Delicious! I got a mahi taco and a pork taco on corn tortillas. Tortillas were really yummy and fresh. Mahi was perfectly seasoned and cooked. Pork had a great texture and flavor. I’m dairy free but they were nice enough to sub the cheese and sour cream with their pickled onion. Perfection! They have a few tables outside which is great on a nice day. My new favorite gluten free option in the area!
Service is good and so is the atmosphere and convenience. But the food?! It's sooo mid, go to papa bees if you want something good. Taco Bell is better yall and that says a lot. The ground beef is just.... awful. Terrible texture and no "taco" flavor. It's okay if you're drunk though I guess? And it TOO EXPENSIVE for what you get.
Always consistent well made, well portioned, and well priced food. Great service and a fantastic place to stop for a quick bite. Having direct access to Hourglass Brewing is a definite plus. Tacos and Beers under one roof. What else could you want!
The picture looks way better than it tastes. Don’t let the food description on the menu fool you with the nachos either. It’s not real queso. This was pretty disappointing and feels like I wasted my money.
