Can't say enough about the ol Wagon Wheel restaurant in Alturas. We pass through here every year or so and always stop for breakfast. Same employees greet us with smiles, and the locals are always curious. I believe the same group of old men are always at their same table.
The food is good for the price as I'd never be able to get that good of biscuits and grave for that price. Large helpings and hot coffee. Kid loves their hot chocolate.
Old fashion cafe, large size servings, you will not leave hungry. Thick and meaty bacon perfectly cooked, nice hot chocolate, fluffy pancakes, great friendly service and pretty cheap. Hard to notice from the road as sign is small, popular place.
Great Breakfast food! Best in town. The only thing is they no avocados, I like sliced avocados with mt scrambled eggs. Guess I have to bring my own. ????
Small town Resturant full of locals for lunch!! Nice people and food!! Definitely would stop again; we are Motorhome travels traveling though Alturas and found the Wagon wheel on line and chose by reviews!
Very Nice establishment, like a small town Denny's but with a Country twist. Very pleasant atmosphere, Breakfast a must here!
Everything was cooked exactly as ordered. Was served in a timely manner. Fresh and hot. Service was friendly and prompt.
Can't say enough about how pleased we were eating at the Wagon Wheel. Best food I've ever had at an out of the way restaurant.
Best breakfast we have had in a restaurant in quite a while, and we frequently eat breakfast out wherever we go! Quaint small place, friendly servers and the food was on point! Even the toasted bread was perfect! If we head back this way we will come back for sure.
