This used to be a goto place for my wife and I, it's a 40 min drive from lansing but usally was worth it. After tonight's dinner we won't be coming back though. We had a previous trip where our server literally ignored us and tried bringing our check and Togo boxes as soon as our entree was served. We tried brushing it off as maybe a bad day or new server and decided to try them again tonight, bad idea.
Wife ordered a burger which she requested to be well done, burger came out medium, she tried eating around it but couldn't do it. When she told the waitress about it, the waitress responded with "what do you want me to do about it?" No offer was made to remake it, and said they'd cook it more. It took twenty mins for her to bring it back out. The burger was burnt and barely edible, there was black residue from the grill not being scraped on the plate and burger. Instead of making a new one, they took all the pieces of burger and cooked it, and then hid it with cheese.
My western burger had the same black oily residue on the bun my "onion ring" if you can call it that was the size of a quarter, burned and tasted of rancid oil. Not sure what the deal is with refills on drinks but the last two times we have been there now, they don't even ask. No table touches or how is everything, also why no silverware? Wife and father inlaw had to eat their salad with a soup spoon because we never got silverware, even after asking. Server just brought a small stack of napkins instead.
Lastly when we got our check, we were a little disturbed to see that there is now an additional charge for using a card? Wasn't there the last time we were there so im guessing that's something new. Didn't see the sign about it until we were leaving....the small sign partly obscured by the host stand, out of sight....
I never would have eaten here if my tire hadn't blown out on the way to Ann Arbor. I'm sure glad I did. The burger was excellent just like the server said it would be. Service was great too. They smoke their own meats and have been voted best burger several years in a row. I can see why! This place has a bowling alley attached but don't let that fool you. If you get a chance, stop here for a burger. Yum
This place has it all. A pretty big menu full of options. A beautiful area to sit in that has an outdoorsy feel or further inside for a nice restaurant feel or at the bar for a sports bar feel. The kids love to bowl and eat. The staff is always extremely helpful, professional, and welcoming. Can’t say enough good things about the place. The owners are local and give back GREATLY to the community. They also made all the daughter’s meals free when it’s time for the yearly daddy-daughter dance. Great restaurant. Great food. Great people.
When we first pulled into the parking lot, we had no idea that this place was in a bowling alley. We thought about going elsewhere but instead decided to give it a try. My wife and I were both glad we did. The staff was very friendly and the atmosphere was nice. We were worried that the bowling alley would make conversation difficult but that wasn’t the case. I got the pulled pork tacos, which were great. The pork was juicy and tender, and the sauce mixed well with the feta cheese. My wife got a burger and said it was one of the best she'd ever had. Very glad we decided to give it a chance.
This was an amazing place to stop and eat! The atmosphere is amazing. And the food was great. My son got a personal pizza that was amazing and well beyond what I expected when he ordered it. I got the BLT and it was fantastic and had a great amount of bacon! Our server was attentive and amazing as well! I will definitely be coming here again.
Recently discovered this gem. We had a 20 minute wait despite being told it would be 45. We reserved a lane, went and ate and bowled afterwards. Both the meal and bowling were extremely reasonably priced. Staff was great and very friendly. We have since gone back again, food was on point!
Very nice restaurant, food was delicious, parking was easy,bathroom was clean, they even have a bowling area for kids! Staff was nice and accommodating as well. Price was right too, I had their special hamburger and it was tender and tasty.
Everyone's meals were very good. One of my guests found a tooth pick in her taco salad while eating it. They comped her meal to make it right with her.
