Great service with the nicest gentleman who took care of us. The food came quickly and was pretty good. My only problem is that the day was really hot and I was hoping to get something relatively light but everything was heavy and fried. That's okay most days but it wouldn't hurt for them to offer a few light choices for small appetites and hot days because I lived in Virginia Beach and know just how hot it can be.

Food is always served hot and fresh. Excellent service. Very clean inside. The only Waffle House I go to when in Virginia Beach.

Very disappointed. I had decided to come to waffle house 5/1/24 @ around 7:40-8pm and before i got out of my car I have seen the people that work there was sitting in the booth. There was at least three of them which I kind of figured if there was no customers that was fine but then when I was looking closer, I had seen that they had their dogs in the restaurant. 3 dogs in the restaurant and not only that but they had the dogs on the table!!!!!! (Small dogs) The people that parked beside me, had walked up to the place and tried to open the door, and it was locked with a note stating that they were closed. The people I looked inside the restaurant and the workers just sat there, staring at them didn’t even acknowledge anything. So I sat in my car for a little bit and had seen someone(worker) walk from the back of the restaurant to the front talk to the people that was sitting at the booth and then come unlock the door just to tell me that they were closed to clean the grill and that it was gonna take a while. (basically stating for me not to wait around) so I had went up to the Mexican restaurant up the street and probably sat in there for 30 minutes before I had left and as I was passing this waffle house they had people sitting down eating like they were open again. This is the closest waffle house to me and i enjoyed coming here. Super disappointed and grossed out I will NOT be coming here to eat again. I suggest everyone go somewhere else to eat unless you enjoy dog hair in your food????

Went to pick up food at the estimated time given for the food be ready. Was told was still making it. Waited patiently. About 20 to 30 min went by. A staff finally approached I repeated picking up order turns out the food was ready whole time and chilling on the counter. Also one of the orders was not right. This place need to be more organized and pay attention to detail.

THIS IS THE BEST WAFFLE HOUSE IN VA BEACH!!! THE STAFF HERE ARE WONDERFUL, KIND, COURTEOUS PEOPLE!!! THE ATMOSPHERE IS WARM, INVITING, AND PLEASANT. IT'S LIKE GOING HOME TO FAMILY AND THEY ARE COOKING YOU BREAKFAST!!! THE FOOD IS SO DARN GOOD-ESPECIALLY THE GRITS!!! THEY ARE FAMILY FRIENDLY AS WELL! TO THE MANAGER AND ALL HER STAFF WHO ARE JUST THE MOST WONDERFUL PEOPLE, THANK YOU FOR YOUR SUPERB CUSTOMER SERVICE AND YOUR BEAUTIFUL SMILES THAT GREET MY FAMILY AND I WHENEVER WE GO THERE!!! Absolutely filthy inside, the booths in the back had ants on them, the floor was greasy and the tables were sticky. When we advised the server 3 of the tables we were going to sit at had ants, the response was it's just ants. We were the only family in the restaurant, lots of dirty dishes stacked, they left the refrigerator open when they took out bacon until the bacon was done cooking. I definitely do not recommend it.

Let me ask at what point is having multiple small dogs on the table at a place that serves food acceptable? Also when has it become common practice for employees to out right ignore customers and not acknowledge them?

This was my experience tonight- not only is it repulsive to see dogs on the table surrounded by employees of Waffle House but to be out right ignored is not promising. I have been a long time customer here but after this I would highly recommend one going somewhere else due to sanitation reasons. I also recommend going somewhere with better customer service and common sense. What a wild thing to see/ experience. Heath inspector needs to go out there ASAP!
