I ordered fried rice and fish to takeaway, the rice was so hard and the customer service was bad, I had a rude sales assistant. There is no price list so you don't even know how much things are so you have to keep asking how hard is it to put a sign. I'm not coming back.
Nowhere to sit in at this branch but the food is EXCELLENT!! Their jollof is out of this world, the fish is fresh and the prawns are so juicy. I went to 2 branches in 2 days - the food was THAT good! ???????????? not cheap but competitively priced. Would 8/10 recommend
I bought jollof rice in the evening for dinner at Waakye Joint on West Green Road last month. It was the last amount of rice in the shop during the evening. My food was spoiled. I contacted the shop asap and complained. I was advised to visit the shop the next day because it would close soon. The next day I called requesting a refund instead of another meal. I provided proof of my bank statement. The first reason I was told a refund couldn't be given was because of their business sales, dishonesty etc. I notify customers a cost refund for paid food that is spoiled is non-refundable, difficult and unfairly decided by Management. Also, communication was poor, slow and rude by the first Manager.
The reply I received approx. 14 days from emails to the Manager.

I have looked into your case carefully and also spoken with the manager in the shop, considering the condition of the product you want to be refunded on, we never had a single complaint from any other customer neither online nor in the shop concerning that batch of jollof rice on that day. Sorry for any inconvenience you had.
I had an issue with my delivery though I was left very upset Theo reached out to me via Google and compensated me. I really appreciate him making things right, mistakes happen and we are only human and I appreciate the gesture sincerely this has changed my previous perspective on Waakye Joint so thank you! One person’s wrongdoing cannot speak for all of the restaurant :)
Was driving past, saw this place and decided to purchase food. First time ever having the misfortune of meeting these atrocious people. They’re so rude it’s inconceivable to think humans could be this rude and bad at customer service. It’s certainly going to be my last for sure. To say their service was appalling would be an understatement. They feel like they’re doing you a favour. Good grief! This so why black businesses suffer.
I have visited Waakye Joint several times and the food never disappoints, everything is delicious! Exceptional Team at Westgreen Rd, a huge thank you to Akua and Linda for always going the extra mile for us whenever we have an extensive order. Highly recommend the Waakye meal.
I ordered from just eats and once order was received by the shop, they called ro say they did not have certain items, it was agreed that they would replace with extra items, to which I did not receive. I also ordered a jar (small glass jar, as advertised) and then only received a small sachet, when I called about this the attitude was was bad! I also had several items missing. I can not fault the flavour in the food that I did receive. The customer service skills needs to improve.
It was a lovely place however I think the service could be abit better. The staff relationship didn't seem good and the communication between staff was all over the place.
Prices should be put on the items to avoid customers from asking the staff every second and allowing staff to focus on helping.
The male staff was patient and spoke kindly.
The food and everything else looked quite good though.
