A Wedding Weekend that truly was just perfect.|I was invited to officiate the wedding of my niece and she chose this location for special reasons. Those being that she and her intended live nearby and were very familiar with the food quality in the restaurants AND the location overlooking the Manhattan skyline that included by old apartment in Chelsea and that her dad is a WTC survivor. |The ceremony was outside on the boardwalk. Perfection. The Reception was in one of the restaurants where the passed starters pulled from their incredible menu. Then the dinner moved into the other restaurant, Halifax, where the menu again pulled from the great menu created by chef Seadon Shouse. The staffs in both rooms and the kitchens were incredibly professional AND personable.|Now for the rooms in the hotel above. They are spacious and sleek. Amazing views and a bed that I sank deep into. Highly recommended!
W Hoboken has always been one of my favorite W properties. I'd not stayed since 2013 so decided to plan a trip to NYC and stay in Hoboken rather than in the city. The hotel is in a perfect location. It's close to all kinds of restaurants and bars and offers spectacular views of the NYC skyline. The staff is amazing; however, it definitely seemed like the room I stayed in was in need of some tender loving care and a deep cleaning. The chair at the desk looked torn and filthy. There were stains on the headboard of the bed and on the lamps. The lounge chair in the window had a large stain as well. The lobby area is still in pristine condition but I definitely didn't feel like room I stayed in met W standards.
Great place! Great views! We live in Brooklyn and my sister lives in Hoboken. I’ve stayed here a couple of times but most recently it was a cold rainy day and my husband and I were just taking our first night away from the kids. The view on the corner room was so pretty even though it was a very rainy day. Everything is very close - snacks, wine, and restaurants. It was a perfect one night getaway. The staff is very professional and excellent as always. Breakfast in the morning downstairs was fantastic.
Our second visit at this location. Rooms are very good, and those with a river view are even better. Food at hotel restaurant (Halifax) is excellent. Staff is very friendly and efficient. A couple of service errors quickly corrected. Two blocks to Hoboken train station and PATH to NYC. Recommended.
Great location - 5mins down the river boardwalk to the PATH station to NYC (either to WTC or Penn. St. in a wheelchair, many more stops between the two if you're able bodied). Fantastic view of NYC from the room. Don't know if there was a breakfast buffet (I didn't see one, and none of the staff ever mentioned one) - they do an à la carte breakfast, which is a bit overpriced (but they're charging New York prices), and the staff is 'uneven' (some staff members proactive and very attentive, others stood around trying to meet anyone's eyes and looked like they didn't want to be there).
I chose this hotel because of its waterfront location and its proximity to Manhattan. I was very impressed by the hotel and its service. The room was spacious, modern, and clean, with a comfortable bed and a stunning view of the Hudson River and the city skyline. The amenities were great, especially the fitness center and the restaurant. The staff was friendly, helpful, and professional. The location was perfect, as it was easy to walk to the ferry or the train station and get to New York in minutes. The value was also good, considering the quality and the location of the hotel. The only downside was that the parking was expensive, but that’s understandable in this area. I would definitely recommend this hotel to anyone visiting Hoboken or New York, and I would love to stay here again.
I just at least at the restaurant. I was very happy with my meal (scallops), my guest's steak and fish were super overcooked. It stinks because I come here often and it was their first experience.
I will definitely come back because the views, service and prices are always spot on.
The chef must have had an off night because it is usually amazing food as well.
Best central riverfront location!! A view from every room and see the sunset on Manhattan n skyline is beautiful. Only had breakfast so far and great potatoes and perfect eggs n bacon . But no sour cream? I eat sour cream with my morning potatoes and couldn’t provide that for me. Waiter was courteous but didn’t allow us to take a bite of a pastry I bought earlier at Carlo bakery , we consumed entire breakfasts and coffees and they couldn’t be discreet about letting me take a bite of a pastry I brought in. I understand if I’m only sitting having coffee but ordered four full breakfasts and side dishes too. But I will be staying here for many days and will be back to stay .
