Great oysters and sushi - what a wonderful surprise. Interesting atmosphere with TVs everywhere. Terrible pizza, and the wait to be seated and get water was way too long.
Great beyond vegan burger! Kids loved eating here.
Need a break from the French Quarter? I did and found it. The 3rd floor of the Hyatt Regency has the place. Tons of TV's for the games, great food, and fast, attentive service. Again, a nice change from the Quarter.
The food in this restaurant is amazing! Everything I tried from the gumbo, to the oysters to the sushi was good. The only thing that brings this place down to a 4 star was the service. The hostess that was there on 8/27 around 4:30pm was snotty and not welcoming. When we told her that we would prefer to be seated in a low top table instead of a high top table, she said she couldn’t cause we were a party of 2 and the low tops are for a party of 4. But the high top also was for a party of 4 and it didn’t make any sense especially that there were 3 low top tables available at the moment. When I asked her again, can we be seated in a low top because I really don’t enjoy sitting at high top especially when there’s availability- she said we can sit ourselves there if we want lol. I went twice both times the same hostess gave me the same energy. My first time the waiter was okay, second time the waitress was really nice. So it’s a hit or miss with the service, but both times the food was great.
Food and drink was great here. I ate at this restaurant several times during my stay and everything was very good. I highly recommend the oyster salad, the oysters were perfectly fried.
We ate here out of convenience when we got to our hotel in the evening.
The service was lacking - took a long time to get our initial drinks, forgot to put in our order of oysters so we didn’t get those until after our entrees, kept pushing us to order as soon as he took our initial drink order, and we asked him if we could change our table’s TV since it looked like a personal one - he said he would ask, but he never even told us yes or no - I have a feeling he never asked.
The atmosphere was okay. Again, we went hoping we could watch the LSU baseball game since there were a lot of TVs, but we never got an answer if we could change it. The actual seats we sat in though were comfortable.
The food was overall good! Our entrees were yummy. Unfortunately, when the oysters finally did come out, they were the smallest oysters I have ever eaten. You could barely tell they were in the shell. And they were $32 for TINY oysters.
Will not be eating here again.
Sushi was fresh and made to order. The veggie burger was tasty. There's something for everyone on the menu. Multiple monitors showed various sports. Power outlet and USB outlet at the table level... was perfect for charging my phone and portable power bank simultaneously. The staff was friendly and knowledgeable about the menu. Expect higher priced items on the menu based on the location inside of the hotel.
Have eaten here a number of times and each time has been more disappointing. The food is honestly something my teenager would make. It's reminiscent of reheated grocery store prepared food. Definitely the worst hotel food I have personally experienced.
The food here was excellent once we received it. We were told this kitchen is the same one use for room service, so it can get bogged down. Pack your patience and enjoy the atmosphere and food.
