Avoid this dental surgery like the plague!
I was an NHS patient (due to recently having a baby)
I was denied treatment that was actually available to me (resulting in loosing a tooth a while later)
The treatment I did receive was poor, the 4 injections administered bruised my face and turned my face black for about 6 weeks. I had black lines up my cheeks towards my eyes to the point where my mum genuinely thought I'd been beaten.
The dentist I've now moved to cannot believe the care and treatment I received here.
**Avoid**
I wish I didn't even have to give this one star. First time I booked my appointment it took a lifetime to get through to book and when I did, I was then rang on the day to change my appointment. The second time I went for a filling and they were running over an hour behind. They were phoning people trying to postpone their appointments and some people were leaving after being fed up with the wait. As I went in for my filling I was told nothing about what was happening despite it being my first one. Nobody asked if I was allergic to anything etc. Anyway, filling was done within minutes, no aftercare given at all. That night I went to bed with a slightly sore throat, then woke up the next day with a swollen lip. I didn't think much of it until the day later when my whole mouth, gums, cheeks, tongue, lips etc were infested with ulcers. I was rushed to A&E who told me I had an infection due to unsterile equipment used at the dentist!!!! I have been on antibiotics and steroids for 4 days now and they still have not gone. I haven't been able to eat or drink in the past 3 days and have spent £70 on medication for this. I cannot believe the awful service I got from this dentist, not to mention how disgusted I am to hear it was caused by cross contamination at the dentist.
So my advice, AVOID!!!
I have just finished a course of root canal treatment by Dr.Geraldesh and despite all the horror stories I was told by friends about the treatment I can honestly say that all I was told was wrong as NOT ONCE did I feel the slightest pain or discomfort at all both during the treatment and after the anaesthetic had worn off. All the painkiller I bought in were unused!!!
The anaesthetic was painless and extremely fast acting.
Cannot fault the staff who were helpful and friendly and explained the procedure thoroughly.
I am sending a complaint to the NHS Terrible Visiting the dentist since February, now June 3 visit, healthy teeth. Do not want to do dental braces My daughter Next visit December This is discrimination and racism !!!!!!!! The daughter has an English friend and she quickly got it dental braces
Been using twice a year for about eight years. Always found staff to be polite and helpful. Never had any problems with treatment, ok sometimes I've had to wait longer than expected and once had an appointment cancelled at short notice, but these things happen even if you go private. Generally very pleased with service.
I have just been referred for an orthodontics appointment . I needed teeth extracted before I could have a brace. The receptionist got me in the next day and I had 3 teeth out with no pain at all. Everyone was really helpful and told me not to worry. It was really good
After leaving the dentist today i will not be going back. Dont appreciate having my childrens dad put down infront of my children and a waiting room full of people nor do i expect my children to be made to feel anxious and upset. Rude awful staff ie the hygenist/ manager and the receptionist however the dentist himself mr. Geraldes is brilliant.
i visited the dentist in the past two months .to have some perio work done which i have never had done before.i have had some teeth extracted but still do have all my teeth at the front .which i am trying to save .i had a bad experience as a child so have always been terrified of the dentist .the actual dentist there has always been quite gentle .so not to bad i attended my perio appointment .and saw a dentist i had not seen before he hardly spoke to me only to be very abrupt .he said lay back and then proceeded to work on my teeth and gums like someone digging a garden .i kept stopping him as he was hurting me and i was worried he would pull one of my other fillings out .at one point i wanted to call my husband in because i felt i would pass out from the pain he was causing me .i was almost crying with pain and groaning because he was hurting me . the assistant looked as if she felt for me knowing how harsh he was being with my teeth and gums . after the dentist had finished and as i had not had this treatment before i thought is this what this treatment should be like .as it was so painful and i was covered in blood .the dentist said rinse and tissues are over there i felt i had been treated like an animal in abbatoir .at no point was i offered to be anaesthetised as my gums are sore anyway.as others have stated on here that if you are an n h s patient you feel you do not matter .it was a very awful experience from a very arrogant periodontist .surely this cannot be right .i am considering actually reporting this to the dental association
