The shuttle was horrible and useless. We called late morning to verify the shuttle would take us to the cog/incline and even checked what was the closest stop/pick up to us. Went, waited for about 15-20 min for the shuttle to show up only for the driver to tell us they would not be going to the cog/incline. She said when it snows they don't go up there. This was only about an hour after we had called to verify. It wasn't currently snowing and the roads were clear. It had snowed the night before. Now we had to rush back to our hotel and get the car so we could make it to our scheduled cog ride. Our Camry rental car made it just fine and we were rushing. It is not a steep or dangerous road and they are not any real sharp turns or steep drop offs where a shuttle should have to worry. Not sure how a town/shuttle that gets snow EVERY year is so unprepared for it. We were very disappointed in the waste of time, and almost missing our cog ride.
Visiting the area on vacation and used this lot to park for the shuttle to the Cog Railway for Pikes Peak. Fair price for parking and the shuttle is great to take you back and forth to the Cog. Wish we had more time to visit in that area.
Another great adventure for my wife and I.
Best vacation ever!
Excruciating pain and a great sense of accomplishment! Memories for the rest of our lives!
2:25 hours to complete the Manitou Incline!
Not to bad for some rookies!
The parking is fine. Paying for parking by text is easy. The "free shuttle" part is a bit oversold. Is it a free shuttle to the Cog Railway? Yes. Is it reliable? Idk generally, but it wasn't the day we were there. It was longer than a 20 minute wait and we ended up leaving, driving and parking at the Cog station. Could of been an off day, but we paid twice.
Right off main road. Need to know license plate number to pay. Kiosk to pay was in front of building. Couldn't find them until bus driver told me where they were.
Rough parking lot; not friendly to people in wheelchairs or with walking challenges; several outhouses were gross and disgusting at around 2 pm on a Saturday.
Beautiful take a ride on the free shuttle. Incline.
This is great parking, but please note that now you have to pay $12 per night. You have to first check at the trail head to be able to say truthfully that you could not find parking there and then you can spend the night here for however many nights you need. There was a man at the light who is extremely helpful. It is $12 for the day or for the night, and we pay $24 to stay two nights. You had to write on your ticket stub that you couldn’t find any space at the bar trail trail head.
