I'm not an expert, by any means. I wouldn't even consider myself "experienced" when it comes to getting my nails done. However, I have had acrylics done by a few different people.
My first set from VIP Nails was the first set ever that I didn't have any lifting or broken nails. I will admit that I am very hard on acrylic nails, especially with tips.
I was extremely impressed with how fast they work. From bare nails to a full set of acrylics and 1 gel color, Sam took about an hour. I'm used to this taking about 2 hours. Again, I'm not an expert so I'm not sure what "normal" is. About 3 weeks after the first set I went back for a fill. It only took about 30 minutes for Amy to buff all the gel color, do an acrylic fill, and do 2 gel colors and a design on each ring finger.
Not only do they work quick, they are GOOD. I've had sets of acrylics that feel and look thick and sometimes lumpy/uneven. My current set from VIP feel like my natural nails.
Go see Sam and Amy at VIP Nails. You won't regret it. They deserve all the tips!

Absolutely in love... I have chronic illness and they treated me so kind and allowed me to do what I needed to do... and I truly felt comftorable... I haven't had my nails done for 8 years and almost cried at the results I was so happy
Sam and Amy are great. Very patient and easy-going personalities. They get very busy, so I would advise you to call ahead. Clean working space and bathroom on site.
