Lovely staff and a friendly atmosphere. Looks a lot better after the refurb too.
Food was pretty good, I really liked the soup but it was very spicy which I was only told about when it arrived; I could see this being an issue for some people.
The main was a halloumi Wellington, which was decent but not exceptional. There was a side of green beans which didnt have the stalks cut off but otherwise all good.
Overall a massive improvement on the previous ownership, the service was very fast too, even though there was a large party of about 20 and some other tables taken too. Perhaps a little on the dearer side than I would like to see but only slightly.
Good food in a nice atmosphere. Upmarket food and excellent friendly service without the city prices.
Very welcoming and cossy, sitting in the back courtyard. All freshly cooked and reasonable price.
We were a group of eight who needed to change our booking to an earlier slot. This was accommodated with no fuss. The food selection, although no extensive, was a good mix. All in the party thought their starters and main courses were excellent. Those that had pudding were delighted. The staff and service was also excellent and the venue was very clean. Prices were fair for food and drinks. Well done Vines Bistro. Brightlingsea people should be proud to have a restaurant as good as yours.
Lovely food in a great environment, the staff are so friendly ????
Me and my partner come to this cosy yet modern restaurant last night and we was not disappointed. We both had a starter and a main and we both had a cocktail, bottle of wine and he had a beer and we was so surprised of the price of the bill! Great food for exceptional value. The owner of the restaurant was welcoming and helpful whenever you needed her and so was the waitress who worked along side her. You have to visit this place!
Friendly service, clean restaurant, not much selection on the Sunday as we were only offered either a roast or tapas. Myself and my partner chose the tapas which had three dishes for £13. Food was nice but we it felt was overpriced for the amount served up and we had to order two lots so the lunch cost us £26 in total.
By chance we found ourselves in Brightlingsea looking for an evening meal.Being a Thursday The Vines Bistro offered a steak dinner for two for £30 wine included. This was fantastic value as were the meals themselves.A marvelous experience.
