The food and service were excellent. However, there was an unpleasant smell at our table, which I promptly informed the manager about for the benefit of future customers.
Great breakfast. We ordered traditional American breakfasts. Coffee with water Eggs, Bacon, Hashbrowns, Toast, Grits. The restaurant was calm. Comfy booths. Our server was Faye she was real nice. We did not leave hungry and will return.
I went there during their bingo mania and had a great time playing bingo after dinner. I went with the country fried steak mashed potatoes and gravy steak fries and Texas toast. I had iced tea with sweet and low for the drink. The food was great and the service was even better. The man calling out the bingo numbers was very nice and friendly. I definitely would go back to this village inn again. I had a great night out That didn't break the bank. I had fun playing bingo for free with the chance to win a free dinner or a free village in pie if I hit the bingo. It is a great place.
I really enjoyed this particular village in. It's very clean and quiet. Nothing against the other village inn. But at least the day that I came here was very quiet. Maybe because it's a Monday. Anyway, I had the French toast meal with country fried potatoes and bacon. My absolutely favorite meal every time I go to village inn. And then I got a banana cream pie sliced to go. They are known and famous for their pies. I highly suggest you try a slice. You do not have to buy the entire pie. And they also have seasonal pies. Oh and the staff were very friendly. I had such an amazing waitress. I still enjoy coming here and getting some good food and brunch.
Wonderful dinner, and super staff, or server was so hard working, and helpful. He had to wait all the tables in the restaurant and still managed to be a very great server. We got a variety of things, and everything was very tasty with a very big portion. Cobb salad had tons of blue cheese, bacon, avocado, tomatoes, and different types of lettuce. Even arugula, which I love because of it's peppery bite. My daughter had meatloaf with mashed potatoes, and onion rings which were very crispy and yummy. My younger daughter had the kids meal grilled cheese which looked very nicely cooked. My husband had the fish and chips which came with 3 crunchy fried pieces, and tons of fries. He ate almost the whole plate ????. My brother got the double bacon cheeseburger , patty size was gigantic, and it looked very yummy as well. Wonderful experience, and I definitely want to go back on Wednesday for FREE PIE ???? , thank you to the entire staff for keeping strong during crazy times.
I’ve always enjoyed visiting Village Inn restaurants but this one has a different vibe. The food was mediocre at best. This location was practically empty during an early afternoon visit. I counted two other occupied tables but the food took more than 30 minutes to reach our table.
I’m not sure if it was the kitchen or the waitress who took their time serving it. Our server was horrendous. We had to ask for coffee and tea refills twice. She was usually found standing near the kitchen laughing with other staff. When she was at the tables, she was yelling and cackling over peoples food. It’s hard to enjoy your meal when someone is high pitch chortling in your ear. She is more than I cared to deal with. I would prefer no one stand stand over a table full of food and project spittle everywhere. That goes for Covid or no Covid, it’s just plain gross.
The inside of this location very old and it shows. At first glance, it’s hard to see the grime but it’s there upon closer inspection. If you look at the ceiling, you may lose your appetite. But let’s be real, most people don’t usually look up. We didn’t until after we ordered and ate our food. I’ve posted pictures to show how filthy it is. The windows could do with a scrub down or two as well. Based on how gross the ceiling tiles are, we will not return to this location. If the dining area is this dirty, I don’t even want to see the behind the scenes in the kitchen.
Overall, I expect delicious food, great service and a clean establishment. This location has none of those things to offer. I could overlook the waitress because I’m sure there are other great servers who work here and I won’t hold it against them. I could also chalk up the mediocre food to a bad day or bad cook. However, I can not and will not overlook a disgusting dining room in need of deep cleaning.
With all of this in mind, if you still decide to visit, don’t look up. Enjoy the extra flavor (dust) from above, blown out ear drums and a dry mouth.
We went out to our local Village Inn this afternoon for a late lunch. The manager Nina took excellent care of us, and our server Trish was fantastic and attentive. Always love visiting this restaurant ????
Nina is my favorite waitress! She's always so kind & wears a huge smile every time we see her. Food is always delicious & quick to come out. Highly recommend for lunch, very family friendly restaurant!
