Sorry about the half eaten photos. Was so hungry we dug right in. My son had a skillet and he said the sausage was excellent. I had an omelet which was also excellent but the star of the show was the pancakes. So very good!!
I have came three times now. Every time I have came the food was cold along with fish mixed in with the fries, some at the table are plated with good portions others at the same time have barely any.
The service was horrible. If you have kids, do not come to this location.
They need better cook and service training, throw in some management training also.
Wow. Downhill much? $13.00 for 2 scrambled eggs, 2 small sausages and mini pancakes! What a joke. The hostess did not even greet me. The skillets shrunk by half too! You just lost my business!
Our first time here. It has a nice diner feel and you can tell the locals love it! We came after lunch and with breakfast served all day it worked perfect for us as my husband could have his favorite, Fish & Chip while I had a fresh spinach and bacon omelette with Swiss cheese and more cheese sauce on top. Great spot for breakfast.
Our waiter was great. Only mistake the waiter made was he forgot to ask us if we wanted pie and gave us our check instead. However we did get pie! French silk pie and to die for!!
Went in to order breakfast? It took me almost 15 minutes to order….Leslie M. the older salt and pepper haired lady had a attitude plus in such a rush that I couldn’t leave a tip….I had no condiments had to use mine own at home. As I’m cutting into my food…one side of my French toast look like was dipped in egg batter and cooked, while the other side was dry looking like it was just toasted from the grill the only thing consumed was the cranberry juice…don’t waste your time or the money you worked for on a place that takes shortcuts on your food.
Update: I returned the food. Nivea at the front counter, tells me a grill cook myself that that’s how French toast supposed to look and that both sides were dipped in batter… obviously she can’t see well. One side has crispy edges and signs of egg. While the other side is dry no crispy brown edges plus no sign of an egg ever touching it but she claims to cook f/toast orders all the time.. no wonder this place is going out of business they can’t even serve quality food, and if you have a problem just a heads up, it won’t be a manager because there wasn’t a manager when I requested one.
I went there with 10 others for dinner. I ordered crepes. Service was good, they delivered all our meals at the same time my food was delicious, plus we got a free piece of pie as it was Wednesday. It was overall a good experience.
Food was great and served very fast. Coffee was hot and fresh.
The facilities seemed clean and our server was very friendly, attentive, and quick to get what was requested and kept the coffee flowing.
I had the chicken fried steak skillet with rye, my wife has the turkey bacon avocado melt. Both were great and filling.
One of the better Village Inns I have been to. Couldn't have asked for better.
Ordered from here on Uber so I can't speak to service or atmosphere. The food was meh, really not worth the price. I got a ultimate breakfast and feel like it was a bait and switch. You be the judge based on the photo I posted with this, but the ham was nothing like described. Plus I got no sausage links that were supposed to be in my order.
That being said, the hash browns & bacon were good so 2 stars.
