Wow! What a find. This is the perfect place for your breakfast fix if you are in the area. I haven’t seen prices this reasonable in years and the staff is super friendly. The place is clean and the food is great. I highly recommend the specials if they have them. We will definitely be back the next time we are in the area.
I like "farm to table ", but wasn't something that I was expecting from a breakfast/lunch place away from Gettysburg near Ski Liberty. While the waitresses were busy, one of the cook/owners came to take my order in a Tshirt from a nearby Egg farm.
Ordered two entrees: the chicken sausage, cheese and onion omelet; and 2 pancakes.
Meal was great and reasonably priced. Really great option if you are a "ski parent ".
Disappointed. We planned our breakfast at Village Book and Table based on their Google listing indicating they were open. Unfortunately, when we arrived, a sign on the door announced they were closed. This miscommunication caused us an unnecessary inconvenience during our travels. I hope the restaurant will ensure their operating hours are accurately updated online to avoid future issues for visitors.
I come and visit my dad at the golf course from Virginia and we always eat here and the food and the people and the prices are the best!
Great little hole in the wall restaurant! If you blink passing through town, you will miss it. I have never been able to eat breakfast for such a reasonable price anywhere! The owners really care about the food as well as all the regular customers! If you're ever passing through fairfield, it's definitely worth stopping at for breakfast or lunch! You won't regret it!
Cute & casual atmosphere with small book library. I chose table with a Main Street view. Waitress was very friendly!
We had 8 people and they were happy to make room for us. The food was fresh, the atmosphere was like home, and our waitress Jo was a pleasure to talk to.
A great place for breakfast! The food was delicious! The pancakes, homefries, biscuits w/ gravy is a must try. The restaurant feels like home, very cozy. Affordable pricing as well. The service was very friendly and accommodating. I'll definitely be back!
