Not what it used to be..
We ordered alcapurrias and they were the size of a baby's finger. I drove an hour and 45 minutes because they were the only ones who had Mavi. I purchased three gallons and it was the worst decision I've ever made they were so watered down it tasted like sugar water with food coloring.
Very sad that a once great place to go has gone downhill.. I'm told there's a new owner " Not Puerto Rican" running the place.
I ordered empanada de carne (only thing that was tasty), alcapurria (tasted old because it was not crunchy after being fried), pan fried chicken with gandules, and fried chicken chunks with gandules. This is NOT authentic Puerto Rican. The rice was mushy, tostones where not fresh. I recommend going to a restaurant called Mofongos. They make sure food is tasty.
My husband wanted to try some authentic Puerto Rican food, he really enjoyed the food there he had a arroz con gandules, pernir and tostones. I had empanadas de carne. The people are very nice there and service was fast.
Food are delicious everything is fresh prices are considered iam from miami and I drive to orlando area to get good puertorican dishes ...I don't have drive there no more
Loved my experience here! This is isn’t the place you typically come for ambiance, but an authentic quick healthy breakfast at an amazing price is well worth coming back for me. Looking forward to the next! :)
There is no place now days where you can find breakfast for $6????
They gave us an empanada with raw meat, informed that it was undercooked and asked if i could get another one instead. She did not apologize and said she couldn’t give another. Bad experience overall.
I love ordering food from here. This place never disappoints. Ive been ordering large meals for Thanksgiving and Christmas. Its tastes great and the price is very good. We love the pasteles and my kids really enjoy the limbers.
