Vic's is a phenomenal shop! They are skilled enough to take care of your car and have it running smoothly. They have quickly become my go to mechanic for my car.
I called for a tire change appointment and was pleasantly surprised that he said he could get me in at 3. I showed up 30 minutes early so I’d be there as soon as he could get me in, but he was in the process of leaving in a van. When he saw me he cane over and said he needed to go do something and asked if we could reschedule for 4. I made sure Od had my original appointment time correct, he said that yes, it had been 3, and I said that it was fine if we changed it to 4. I left, came back at 3:45, and waited. He did not show up, he didn’t call, and he didn’t answer when I tried to phone, starting after 4. I waited until 4:15, phoned him and left a message saying that after the changes, lateness and no contact, I was going to have to find someone else, but that I hoped that everything was alright if he’d had some kind of emergency.
At 5:00 (2 hours past my original appointment and 1 hour past the one he’d wanted to switch to), I get a missed call and a text from him, saying sorry that his appointment ran long and that he could be there in 15 minutes. I responded by reminding him that he’d changed my appointment, simply had not showed up, and that he was now contacting me a full hour past that, so no thank you.
I tried Vic’s because the google reviews were mostly positive, with only one negative, and that one had no explanation as to why. I guess it was my mistake, because this man’s behavior was completely unprofessional. If you have someone showing up, you can at least text and explain that something has changed, but he didn’t. He was on his way out when I showed up originally, and hadn’t contacted me to say that we needed to change the appointment, which leads me to believe that if I had come a few minutes later for my original appointment, he simply would have left me waiting as he did at 4. Terrible service, contact, and attitude.
I had them change the clutch. After they had the parts it took them over a month and a half to "finish" the job. It didn't feel right when I left the lot. I brought it back to him immediately, and was told what I was feeling was normal, and that it would feel the way it used to after it was broken in. The issues got progressively worse. So, I took it to the dealership. Vic had left bolts out of the hubs, transaxel, and clutch assembly. The bolts on the outside could have fallen out, but the bolts inside the transmission that weren't present weren't re-installed. I ended up paying the dealership twice what it would have cost me if I had just taken it to them first. When I talked to Vic about it, he proudly stated that he doesn't warranty any of his work. Don't let him work on your vehicle!
Within a couple hours of calling, Vic was working on my brakes. Now I can safely keep my Anchorage appointments next week. Reasonable prices and great service.
Vic was my savior, I had a CV joint blow out and he was able to fix it in 30 minutes. He was very polite, his prices were fair and I recommend him anytime you are in dire need for an automotive fix.
I wish I could give this mechanic 0 stars, he lies and cheats you. Do not use. Horrible experience dealing with this guy
well this shop is best auto shop in the valley couple years ago i had my engine rebuilt at this shop took him some time but well worth the wait my vehicle is still running with out any problems i also get my tires done there to quick service have to call before going there he is very polite honest and he dose take pride in his work i highly recommend this shop
I have an 09 Silverado have brought it to g force and several other auto shops to fix and no such luck all false diagnostics, spent 5 minutes on a code read and Vic knew exactly what it was.
