We love Sole, and Via is its sister restaurant, so we thought we'd give it a try, but no! It was far below expectations.
- Bread and olive oil: The bread was cold; we asked for it to be warmed up, but they brought another cold bread plate.
- Pizza: The crust was very basic, not what you'd expect from an Italian place.
- Caprese salad with heirloom tomatoes: There were absolutely no capers; instead, there were some heirloom tomatoes and cherry tomatoes.
- Cedar salad: Very basic.
- Garden salad: This is part of the dinner menu; no sauce, again very basic.
- Chicken noodle soup: Also part of the dinner menu; it lacked any taste and was like a pack of lemon juice.
- Lobster shells: Mostly filled with cream cheese, very little lobster.
Generally the place is beautiful but the servers were not friendly!
Today, January 31st, 2024, I treated my Mom for a combination of late birthday lunch / Valentine's Day lunch . We decided to go to Via Italian Table in Worcester for their $10 lunch specials. Today was the last day for the day for $10 lunch meals . I ordered The Chicken Marsala, and my mom ordered The Shirmp Scampi, and we also ordered the Marzipan Cheesecake for us to share for our dessert. This was our first time going to Via Italian Restaurant , I'd definitely would recommend this place to so many people!! The food was so delicious ???? !
The only thing was it was a little darker inside than we expected. Other than that, excellent service. No complaints whatsoever. I overheard fron the waiter at the table next to us he mentioned planning on doing this promotion again. Me and my mom would love to go to The Sole Proprietor in Worcester if they run this!! Promo again.P.S. great lunch enjoyed every bite.

Chicken francaise was too thick. The stuffed peppers were lacking flavor. The bread wasn't toasted but charred. The service was too fast stacking coarse after coarses before we were done. Felt incredibly rushed. Pluse we went at 4pm so it was dead, no need to rush. The chicken parm was unremarkable. I felt the breast were way too thick, and the gravy drowned the pasta. I mean, if i were poor and needed large portions to feed my kids at home, then great, but I'd rather have quality over quantity
Went for birthday dinner celebration with 20ppl. This is a very busy restaurant but they handled the 20 top really well. Remembered orders and had the billing 98% correct. Some parts of the food delivery was slow but for the most part, very reasonable timing. Servers were courteous and pleasant throughout. The food was great but I've had better calamari and truffle fries elsewhere. Extended wine list . Nice atmosphere and kitchen was open. Overall a wonderful evening. They observed my peanut Allergy meticulously. They gave a nice cup of sorbet to the birthday person!!
The food and atmosphere is excellent, but I’m only giving it 3 stars because of their poor quality bread. you’d expect an Italian restaurant to have good bread, most do, but not here. It’s usually COLD and has a soft crust and overall just not good, neither is the olive oil for dipping. Come on Via, good bread would up your game!
The food was incredible. We had chicken Marsala that melted in your mouth. My fig and prosciutto pizza was also delicious. The wine flight was presented in a unique fashion, and allowed me to find a new wine. Overall great experience and we look forward to going back.
I'm quite disappointed. Yesterday, when I got food from Via, the calamari looked nothing like expected. The box was barely 1/20 full. Also, not leaving a tip at the front desk resulted in an immediate change in their behavior.
