C’è poco da dire: venite a provare la migliore cucina sull’isola di Capri!
Nessuna nota negativa, partendo dall’accoglienza sino ad arrivare al conto. Siamo stati accolti dal personale che delicatamente ci ha accompagnati al tavolo che affacciava sul meraviglioso Golfo di Napoli, in una location da far invidia ai migliori ristoranti dell’isola. Personale attento ma non invasivo; le proposte dello chef, con un menu da poco cambiato, hanno dimostrato massima attenzione e cura della materia prima. Consiglio i tagliolini al gambero e limone, a dir poco magici! Un particolare grazie a Roberta e Marco, veramente preparati e attenti per tutto il servizio. Sarà sicuramente una tappa fissa per ogni ritorno sull’isola.

posto veramente adorabile mi sono sentita sulle montagne russe. Purtroppo però trovo inaccettabili le polpette senza lo sburon dello chef!;( per questo metto una e non zero perché non si può.
Vista fantastica sul golfo da cui si puó ammirare anche Napoli in lontananza, cibo ottimo e servizio impeccabile. Ci ritorneró sicuramente.
Non l’esperienza turistica che vi aspettate, forse la migliore esperienza che potrete avere a Capri!
This restaurant definitely deserves a higher rating. The server was helpful and attentive (he noticed me using my phone and proactively brought me the wifi password without me even having to ask!), the food was excellent, and the decor was charming and well-coordinated. I had the Rumore cocktail to start, which was excellent and unique compared to offerings at similar restaurants in the area. For food (which is all locally sourced!) I enjoyed the porcini risotto and the beef fillet with peppercorn sauce - both were perfect and exceeded my expectations. I have had risotto at Michelin-starred restaurants and I found this one to be on the same tier - it was perfect and I devoured it. The steak was perfectly cooked and the peppercorn sauce was very good and featured whole black peppercorns. It was also elegantly presented - they brought out the steak and then poured the sauce over it in front of me. I cannot get enough of black pepper so I loved that I could top each bite with sauce and a couple black peppercorns - this really packed a punch of peppery flavor. Really good!
My palette is normal, so if you’re an elitist food critic then you may feel differently but, to me as an average guy that enjoys fine dining on occasion, I loved this place. I dined at a Michelin restaurant a few nights earlier and I would still choose Vesuvio over it every single time.
After comparing different restaurants in Capri, we decided to try Vesuvio even though we were a bit sceptical because of the low number of reviews. And it was: simply amazing!
The service is very attentive and personal. They took a lot of time for us and we had a nice chat with the friendly waiter. As a starter we shared the Caprese (the tomatoes were a blast) and then went on with the Entrecote and spaghetti Nerano. All of our dishes were of very high quality. We also tried their cocktails and the recommended Pale Ale beer which were delicious too.
When we come back to Capri next time, we'll come back here. ☺️
The waiters are nice. Restaurant is totally overpriced. It’s not even good Italian food. I ordered octopus with linguine, and just got 3 baby octopus in very basic tomato sauce. No taste Italian.
