Nice view of the bay and island as well as over to Ocean City. Nice walking path, just watch for bikes and high wind.
Beautiful bridge with completely separate driving and walking/cycling spans. The walking/cycling bridge has been thoughtfully constructed a tad taller than the driving bridge, affording wonderful 360 degree views. The bridge is a pleasure to stroll/run/ride across and you're likely to be greeted by wild ponies as you walk on to Assateague Island. Cars slowing down get hurried on by rangers, pedestrians get to view the wildlife (from a safe distance) at their leisure. There's also a visitor center/cafe and a beautiful public beach on the island just a few hundred yards beyond the bridge. The bridge picture is a Kodak Tri-X film shot from a 1953 Roleiflex TLR, the pony shots are taken on my Sony a7iii with a long lens.
Love to walk on the bridge which is separate from traffic. Beautiful view with the bay, flying birds, and sometime horses on the road.

Beautiful bridge with a great view from the bike path. It gets congested if the line to get onto the national side road is long and/ or the day use line, or if some of the horses are blocking the road.
This bridge was spectacular, but I must admit it made my cornhole look like a little rabbit’s nose. Scary stuff
