Great little bakery, very nice people, the donuts are tasty, the cream cheese cinnamon roll was amazing. The gravy and Biscuit was very good as well as the sausage roll with cheese. We be back again on another trip to the boro.
A step back in time with delicious treats. The pastries tasted like they came from the heart and the cake doughnuts will leave you wanting more. Sausage rolls with and without cheese are wonderful for a hearty breakfast. Lastly, the party cookies are a delightful treat to have for snacking or entertaining friends. Highly recommend this bakery!
The Variety Bake shop has been serving delicious treats for more than 60 years. The original owners' special items remain on the menu, and the current owners have added some delicious temptations. You HAVE to see it, smell it taste it to believe it

Best chocolate iced cake doughnut I have ever had in my LIFE!
My husband ordered strawberries after looking at the most attractive pictures online. What he got was definitely not what was pictured. The berries were hard and sour, they left the stems on them, and it looked like they'd never dipped a berry before in their lives. It looked like a 5 year old made them. Then it was just thrown in a plastic Bundt container. Absolutely no thought to presentation at all. I don't think anyone ever tasted a berry to see if they were worth selling. We've put up with things there before, like staff allowing people to ditch us in their ridiculously long lines, but this was really bad, especially when they wanted $13 for 12 berries and it was a Valentine's gift.
Pastries and donuts are top shelf . No one behind the counter listens , better check your order before you leave .Chocolate dipped strawberries? Just don't . The berries were hard , green , chocolate falls off before you get them to your mouth , and the packaging screamed loudly "we don't care !"
Worst donut I have ever had, even worse attitude. If I could give less stars I would. Do NOT EAT HERE.. Not to mention she don't properly pay her employees, so definitely don't go looking for a job here.
Amazing pastries, donuts, cookies and cakes. Sausage rolls, cheese straws and biscuits will be a staple once you try them!
