I needed an artist I could commit to, as I am getting my sleeve started. Krystal was amazing! She is very talented, the movement in the branches that she has done so far, as well as the owl, are OUTSTANDING! I could not be happier with how things are going, and am happy to say, I've found my artist at Vanguard! I would HIGHLY recommend Vanguard Tattoo!!
Sierra confidently had Tristan (her_stan_dez on IG) of Vanguard Tattoo Collective in Panama City, FL do her 2nd tattoo. This time it was of a caduceus, a symbol of Hermes (Sierra's fave Greek god). And though George & Martha are described as "full-sized green snakes" by Rick Riordan, Sierra had Tristan do them in purple and orange - colors any Percy Jackson fan would recognize.
As before, Tristan helped Sierra feel comfortable and at ease. She said she experienced no real pain with either of her tattoos. As someone on the autism spectrum, Sierra can experience high levels of social anxiety, so spending time in such a welcoming & accepting space means a lot. And that Tristan could carry on a conversation about Greek mythology was a bonus for Sierra.
Once again, the shop was very clean and the atmosphere was professional but welcoming. I spotted the merch and picked up a t-shirt because we were moving out-of-state soon. (The t-shirts are nice - would recommend.)
Though Sierra has severe eczema, she has had NO problems with her tattoos healing. Tristan provided simple but thorough care/aftercare instructions, as well as information on how to keep this colored tattoo vibrant over time. Sierra already has a design for her next tattoo & plans to have Tristan ink it on her next trip to Bay County (from Pennsylvania).
My wife and I got piercings (a couple weeks ago) and tattoos today from Destiny and it's safe to say we've found our spot. Easy 5/5 stars and I highly recommend going to her for your piercing/tattoo needs. She does great work.
My youngest daughter Sierra got her 1st tattoo from Tristan (her_stan_dez on IG) of Vanguard Tattoo Collective in Panama City, FL. It was of the planet Pluto; Sierra LOVES Pluto! (Hey, heard about Pluto? That's messed up, right?????) Tristan did an outstanding job of getting the realism (not sure if I'm using that term properly here) correct, especially with Pluto's "heart." The tattoo is perfect!!!
Sierra is on the autism spectrum and Tristan was the perfect artist for her, treating her with courtesy, respect, professionalism, kindness, and just the measure of nerdiness that put Sierra at ease.
Tristan's work space, as well as the shop, was clean and had a welcoming atmosphere. It's like they actually want your business.
Sierra had no problems with the healing of her tattoo, which was a blessing because she has severe eczema. (Getting a tattoo was a decision that took years to make due to her condition.) Tristan provided the tips needed for healing and for keeping your tattoo in good shape for years to come.
Sierra has plans for several more tattoos and she hopes that Tristan will be the one to ink them all ☺.
I was referred to Vanguard by a very close friend and the team there is fantastic! Getting a tattoo is a huge decision and I had my idea in my head. Kristal made it come alive and worked with me through the entire process. These artists are amazing! The team at Vanguard are top notch!
Changed to a 5 star from a 1 star and complaint that outlined an early closure without notice. However, Crystal reached out with a valid (sick staff) explanation and an apology. We will definitely be giving Vanguard another shot simply because Crystal is such a professional individual.
Tristan did my Abraham H. Parnassus tattoo over a year ago and it looks great! I've always been hesitant to get tattoos because I have terrible skin between eczema and some other things, but now would definitely come back and get another. I get a ton of compliments on it from other Adam Driver and SNL fans.
Very clean, well-lit, well-appointed establishment. At this appointment, Crystal did some touch-up work on my existing work. I followed Crystal here. She is an amazingly gifted artist, who takes the time to really listen to the customer. Her designs will translate your vision into reality. I receive compliments all the time on my tattoo, and highly recommend Crystal!
Very comfortable environment. I was offered refreshment, and made to feel at ease.
Flexible hours to accommodate my busy schedule were much appreciated. Met an additional staff member, very pleasant conversation. Noted interaction with another customer: polite, and respectful.
