Can't really ask for much more than this from a BBQ spot. The manager and staff were all super friendly even when coming in with a large group; treated us like we were family. Spacious interior was nice to look at and TV's allowed us to watch the SEC Championship comfortably.
As for the food, the brisket was smoked and well and tasty. All sides were a nice portion and the mammoth Big Curly-Q fries with BBQ were delicious. Must-visit in Norman.
The staff was excellent! The meat was smoked well and had great flavor without being dry. However, my brisket was very fatty and for the price, I was expecting a little more. The mac and cheese was excellent... When we got home and warmed it up. Fried Okra, Texas toast, and baked beans were all good. To say we were a little underwhelmed would sum it up. We may try again the next time we are in Norman as sometimes there are just bad days.
Great atmosphere with great people that servers with pride & loyalty! Can't say enough about the food!!! , food are always beyond your expectations!! Customer service is a plus too????????????????
Had a Holiday Bowl today and it was great. I added a slice of pecan pie for after the game.
Perfectly smoked Turkey and Ham. The dressing is great as well, just the right amount of sage not to overpower it. Green beans are always perfect. Mashed potatoes, brown gravy and roll are great as well.
Plus a wonderful slice of Pecan Pie.
HIGHLY RECOMMENDED. While this order was to go, I eat here at least once a week. BBQ is great. Really good BBQ Tacos too.
So Impressed with the Service and the Food! We came to see the historic building and were blown away with the kindness of all the staff. Several staff checked on us during our meal and Aaron took our order. He heard us having a hard time deciding on a dessert to share, so he brought the other dessert as well for us to try! He had no idea that we were there on our wedding anniversary. There was also a sweet lady who brought us little extras so we didn't have to get up and find them. This will always be such a great memory for us. Thank You for making it special. ~Lynn and Jimmy
This was my first time in this place today, and I was really impressed by how friendly and polite the staff was. The food was also good and was very impressed by how tender and thick the chicken slices were. I will have to spread the word about this restaurant when I get back to Iowa.
Got tacos here and they were not very good missing stuff on all 6 I got. When telling them it was missing stuff they brushed it off. So make sure to be checking your food. Workers working the window on the day were rude didn't check food was like yeah there should be and pushed it out the drive through window. I asked for more things like sauce and the girl was so rude and was like ugh I guess. Very rude. Manger didn't take the food mess up seriously when I informed them they brushed it off which is whatever. I just want food I pay for to be correct and what I ordered. Minus the window girl attitude. There's only a few staff members there that are above and beyond nice and some who seem like they don't like working there.
I love this little place, the staff is very friendly and the service is great. I've been here many times for lunch and every trip has been great. A lunch combo comes with a sandwich, curly fries and a drink and all for around $8 or less. The meats are always moist and packed with flavor and the fries are always hot and tasty. Highly recommend!!! Tried the ribs and the beans for the first time today; they were both very good. Update…still great! I was in town briefly today with the family, we all loved it! Glad to see the place is doing well after dealing with the pandemic!
