It’s a pity and a blessing that I do not like in Troy cause if I did I’d go there everyday to eat and become broke deliberately. I’ve gone then twice and both times the service and food was excellent. The food is outstanding, fresh, and the best representation of authentic Mexican food. The atmosphere is so soothing with traditional songs playing in the background and the staff is so kind and cooperative and understanding. Try something new each time. You’ll not regret it. And the adobada taco is phenomenal if you love spice and pork.
Ok, so my bad that I don't have lots of photos to post, it looked good and we were hungry, so you'll have to take my word for it that this food is FRESH! We are only here for a couple of days and not likely to ever return, so we decided to try totally local spots. This is a hidden gem. Do not be put off by appearances or you'll miss a treat.
We arrived at a weird between mealtimes hour, so only one other couple was seated. Ignore the scrutfty strip-mall convenience store appearance and come on through. The Guacamole Mexicano is SO FRESH! NOT over salted, seasoned or spiced to death like so many Mexican places tend to do. You can help yourself to a variety of sauces and flavor any of the food to YOUR taste! The chicken and the Enchiladas Rancheras were wholesome and delicious with the perfect amount of salad as topping. The Burrito Mexicanos Al Pastor had a wonderful balance of fillings and flavors and was also quite satisfying. I added some of the "avocado salsa" (mild & green) and a squeeze of lime to mine. ????????
We would have tried the Choco Flan but they were out. However, we ended up being pretty darned full. Highly recommend this place if you like authentic Mexican food that isn't meant to burn your insides out. If you like to suffer, there are plenty of sauces that will let you damage yourself accordingly. ???? Cool street food vibe is enhanced by authentic background music. ENJOY!
This place can easily go under your radar but that by no means makes it bad, this is some of the best and authentic Mexican food I’ve ever had. We got the Lengua and GDL tacos everything was amazing. The rice unlike most restaurants was packed with flavor and the salsa was just a cherry on top of this delicious food.
We were going to eat at another place. but my wife wanted to try this place. Have to say that we presently live in Montgomery and tried four Mexican restaurants and all were a disappointment. Now to this place, the food was great, service was exceptional. It's family-run and although the atmosphere doesn't measure up to the places in Montgomery being fancy. Fancy doesn't float my boat. Clean, good food does. We will make this place one of our regular places to eat
First visit it had good reviews. I had the chimiechanga it was ok, but not great. It needed more cheese, hardly any. The rice and beans were both cold. I would not go back, but they may off had an off day.
Lunch specials great price. Free salsa and condiment bar, which is rare for Alabama. Food is really good if you're in the area give it a try!!
I always come back to Valencia, service is always really good, and the food AMAZING. Today I had a Wet Burrito, and was amazing, I even ask for recommendations about this burrito and the waiter gave me good combination of chicken and meat. 10000% recommended always ???? ♥️
This restaurant came highly recommended so I decided to stop and give it a try. They close at 8pm. I arrived at 7:40pm and said I'd like to place a Togo order and was told sorry the kitchen closes at 8pm. So they didn't take my order. If your going to stop taking orders before your closing time, then you should change your hours to reflect so.
