@Matt Smith, I was the one who sat you and gave you frequent updates on your seats as we were at full capacity last night when you came in. When I was informed on the wait for food I also informed you of that wait time as well. When the owner along with myself came over to your table to talk to you, you would not give her the chance to talk and were extremely rude to her. Our staff were exceptional last night with operating at full capacity with 7 parties of over 7 people there at the same time you were. Our kitchen staff were getting food out as fast as they were preparing it and yes fried foods come out faster than meals such as burritos, burgers, steaks etc. So before saying the owner was rude, let's not forget to mention how you would not even let her get a word in before you started yelling at her. She was polite and courteous given the situation.
Went here for dinner last night. Took a while to get seated but not horrible. As we were ordering food another group the same size as ours was sitting down. We ended up waiting over 2 hours for our food, while the other group after us had theirs. The owner came over and was very rude to us and tried telling us it’s because they only have 3 cooks and the other group ordered all fried food. Our server was nice, but myself and another person in our group never received our drinks after asking for them twice, and ended up having to go up to the bar to get them. The owner was very rude and unprofessional. They finally brought our food out in to go boxes because we had been there for almost 2 and a half hours at that point and had kids with us that had to get to bed. Some of us didn’t even end up getting everything we ordered, and what we did get did not look very good. Owner definitely does not know how to treat customers.
Update for anyone reading, in regards to the owner's reply: The reply to this post is 100% incorrect. The 2 hours it took to get food did not include the wait time to be seated. We were seated around 7:15, had our food order in around 7:30-7:40. We did not harass the server, but around 9 o'clock, after getting zero updates, we did want to know what was going on and she said she would get her boss. That's when the owner came out and said they are making it, it will be out momentarily, but at that point we had to go because like i said, we have kids with us. So we had them do it in to go boxes. It took another 30 minutes after that interaction to actually get the food. By 8-8:30 they were at probably half, 2/3 capacity. Also. I was not the one to talk directly to them. And while we were sitting there, we had an interaction with another group sitting near us that had a similar experience as us that night.
Had aspargus bites and garlic cheese curds for starters. Fish tacos and steaks for sinner. Good food. Service was ok but the place was very nice.
Best burger in Silver Lake! The staff is friendly, the food is amazing, and the atmosphere is beyond welcoming. I live near by and always count down the days until they open in summer. If you’re visiting, don’t miss out on this gem!
Stopped in by chance, drinks, and appetizers. We sat outside wonderful area out back. Great friendly service. It's worth a trip of you are close.
My family has been eating here for years and maybe we just had a bad experience but our food took over an hour and people who arrived after us got their food before us. I went up to a waitress and asked why our food was taking so long and she was very rude to us and said the people who came after probably received their food before us because it was “fried” our food was fried also. Besides the hour long wait, our food came out burnt and we only get checked on by our waitress about 2 times the 2 hours we were there. Spend your money somewhere else. Photo is of burnt fish. Chicken tenders were also burnt.
The service was quick and friendly. The food was delicious and came out right away. And the salad was huge! Highly recommend.
This little gem has become our favorite near Silver Lake ! We slid in here on the evening of our 33rd wedding anniversary, and we’re taken care of by Mary one of the owners. We’ve had a lot on our plate this past year, so celebrating on a trip, wasn’t in the cards. We ordered steaks, had some beers, and was just an all around awesome experience in June when we popped in. Mary is definitely a queen at making her patrons feel special and loved. We popped in the other night for the Lions game, and once again she was at the bar and bright a smile. Wish I could think of our server, because she was just as awesome ! Her and Mary closed down Thursday night (9-28)
Thank you again for making us feel welcomed, and making this a favorite stop.
