Poor service, phone consultation booked and whilst the doctor did call, I was unable to answer, doctor left a voicemail advising they would call back. I called the surgery to confirm what time I would receive the call and was advised I am on the list for a call back and it would be sometime in the morning. No call by the afternoon so I called the surgery again to be told firstly I was not scheduled for a call today, then after my persistence I was found in the log, then to be advised I had been crossed off. Poor service and it would appear there is genuinely no concern for patients or their wellbeing even when a forced level of effort is applied by the staff.
Called to speak to my Gp this morning but she wasn't in the surgery so got to speak to a nurse practitioner instead, she was knowledgeable, kind and helpful. Also on a different topic the call queue system worked brilliantly so l didn't have to hang on the phone for ages waiting for an answer.
Had a blood test there. The nurse was very nice and very efficient it only took about 2 minutes.
Update.
On the York Road side of the building is another entrance where they do eye tests and other physio.
I went here for an eye test, took about 25 minutes it was nice and quick, it wasn't busy in there.
Went there for my blood test and told the women that i require a thin needle as im afraid of needles and her response was she has 6 mins per appointment and didnt use the thin needle leading to a bruise in my arm. Do not recommend going to this place for a blood test ever. The lady at hillingdon health centre is so good she uses a thin needle that you cant even feel it going in. Will never book with them again your clearly just a number here why do the job if you cant care for your patients!
Uxbridge Health Centre is located in the Town Centre of Uxbridge right next to the Chimes Shopping Centre and Herman House.
It’s very convenient for people to pop in to the Health centre as it has good connections of Transport. Bus and Train services are right next to the door.
Staff are quite friendly and helpful. The place looks pretty clean and tidy inside.
The health centre sign board is clearly obvious outside the Entrance of the health Centre. Parking is available right at the front of the Health Centre.
Arrived 15 minutes early for a simple mouth swab. After being there 1hr I asked what the problem was and why they were 45 minutes past appointment time? To be shrugged at and told 'shes just busy'.
Went to breast clinic today. Very efficient and kind staff.
Ladies are so patient.
It's quite good once you can get an appointment. Central location, decent waiting area. Too many A4 pages & posters pasted up everywhere and almost impossible to get an appointment on the phone. Online or f2f booking may be easier.
