Best KPortal Reviews
Absolutely one of the best nail salons I have ever been to! Tim did an amazing job, prices are very reasonable, especially for the high quality and attention to detail. The entire staff was friendly and pleasant. I hope to make it back soon.
I used to come here all the time and really liked them. I guess they're under new owners and they really made the place look nice. Updated massage chairs, plastic protectors for the pedi bath, amazing massage, and I really like my nails! I don't go often and felt very self conscious about my rough feet and super short bitten nails and they were very nice and got my feet soft, yay.
The staff were very nice, the place was super clean and well decorated. Not too loud. Pricing was good. Bring cash, the atm there charges close to $3 for use. The massage chairs were nice and so far my regular toenail polish doesn’t have any chips (it’s been a couple days and i’ve gone to the pool and on walks).
The nail tech did cut my toe when doing cuticles but used the powder to stop the bleeding right away and kept everything as clean as possible. The massage was a little too concentrated around my shins and I had a scrape from an allergic reaction and too much rubbing on one spot. I think she will get better with time. She was great at the nail designs though and very meticulous with getting the polish right up to the edges.
I would like to start by I normally don’t write bad reviews, so take this seriously. I use to go here every two weeks religiously when I lived here. I am home visiting and returned back. TOTAL MISTAKE! I will never ever be back. 1) there’s not a singular sign that says cash only, so after my appointment I went to pay and was told only cash. But lucky me there was an ATM with a $3 charge. (I didn’t have a card physically on me I planned to pay with my Apple wallet/ tap) AND when I offered cash app or Venmo they said no only Zelle. So I proceeded to waste my time creating a Zelle account which is not compatible with small Alaskan Banks (like mine)
2) I ended up getting nicked multiple times while getting my nails done (yes, it’s normal, but not draw blood multiple times)
3) it took forever. I went in the middle of a Tuesday so not a ton of people in there ….
4) $180?! For a basic pedi/ color swap, dip nail (no extension), and a men’s basic pedi crazy expensive.
Overall, I will not be back. I will need to find someplace new for when I’m in town.
Misa is so wonderful. She does such a excellent job on my nails and eyebrows that I will never go anywhere else. The atmosphere here is very inviting and the cleanliness and sterilization is on point. 100% recommend ???? ???? ????
I paid $115 for just the nail painting on my fingers and toes and the removal of the old painting that was it. I was happy to get in right away. The regular place I went to was closed, and this was the only place open at the time. So I decided to go. I'm not happy that it is peeling off already when I just got it done a little over a week ago. My normal salon I go to that lasts for 3 weeks without peeling or chips. So, I'm never going anywhere else besides my normal salon. A big, big, $115 dollar lesson learned for sure.
At my regular salon, I can get a high-priced pedi and mani for the price of $125.
I was shocked when they said $115 for just the removal of the old paint job and new paint. With no pedi or mani. And then to have them peel and chip. I'm not happy with the end results at all. Never again.
Loved the chatter, and products! The woman that did my nails was tunnel visioned and as a result nails all leaned to one side. All in all I will definitely be back☺️ I totally understand getting stuck into the same routine.
This was my first ever pedicure and hopefully not my last! I thoroughly enjoyed the experience but was nervous. Although the staff was bilingual, they were still hard to understand, but they made me feel very comfortable. I received a few nicks on my big toe, but nothing to discourage me from going back.
