This spot is nice... out the way but still close to everything. They keep it clean in here as well. The owner books them rough the cut app goes by. The name Mr. Echelon... he does great work and always has a good word or conversation for the soul... prices are higher than I'm used, but you get what you pay for, and I go back at least once a month... not to mention he offers a variety of options to choose from beard wash to a full service... if you're looking for a spot to go get cleaned up, stop through . They do walk-ins, too
The most unprofessional place I have ever visited in my life.
I booked an appointment online and was told upon arrival the barber was not working today. I was asked to cancel the appointment so I could get a refund. Upon cancellation, I was told I would incur a 5% fee for late cancellation. The barber onsite was not very knowledgeable and not helpful.
Very unprofessional establishment. I want to support minority businesses, but experiences like this one make it very difficult.
My recommendation is not to give your business to this establishment.
My experience with precision cuts in Chesapeake has been fantastic. Great barbers doing great work. Very clean and professional. My recommendation is to give your business to this establishment.

I always receive the most precise fade and line ever and an edifying word from Mr. Echelon! If you're looking for "that barber" look no more! Book him for your next cut!
I have 2 daughters aged 3 and 2. This was going to be there 1st salon experience. Booked 1.5 weeks ahead of for 11. We arrived 1101 and the stylist, Zee, texted at 1048 saying she was running late. She didn't arrive until 1135 with no other texts or updates. Won't be coming back. If you're going to be that late at least some type of communication would've been appreciated.
Responding to the reply to this review: I'm simply giving details of my experience here is all. Not trying to blast anything. I know stuff happens, but I also know there isn't any reason why we couldn't receive some type of communication about it all. If I were part of the Upper Echelon team I would've first apologized for the inconvenience then offered my customer some type of remediation to make up for it. I got neither, just a: "OK I'm here"[40 mins later than scheduled].
No services were performed because we were receive witht rudeness, disrespect and discrimination. Will NEVER go back to this hair salon and do not recommend it. No manners and no customer service
