What can I say about my first experience here. Just wow. The portions are gigantic. The food is perfectly cooked, made with love and flavor. The staff is super friendly and accommodating, even at the end of the night. You will not go wrong eating here. If you don't like the food at this place, then you don't like soul food. Try KFC.

We are here for weekend anniversary getaway.We were looking for lunch and happened across Up N Smoke. Amazing food! We will definitely hitting it again! Wish there was one closer to where we live, we would be regulars for sure!
Best barbeque & soul food I have had in a long time & I consider myself a foodie. Always said I would stop in & try there food. I will definitely become a regular here.
Next time I will get a tap beer with my food. Jazz the server & bartender was awesome. Ribs very tender.
We've order a few takeouts and dined in at their first breakfast event and all I have to say is....it feels like home! You can feel the love in their food and service. Everything we've tried we just fell in love with it, especially the fried catfish, you don't need any sauce, the breading alone is just so flavorful. You can't go wrong here and thank you for bring us home!
Best food and service in the area, hands down. The chicken n waffles are world class and the greens are to die for. Go check em out, you won't regret it!

I really enjoyed my experience at Up N Smoke! You can really taste the smoke with the ribs! I had rib tips, hot links, fries, Mac and Cheese, and red beans and rice. The beans were so good, cooked with meat. The atmosphere is great if you're into the bar scene. However, the restaurant was a bit dark. There was a little bit of a wait, but the service was pure and genuine. The hour drive from Michigan was well worth the food they are cooking in this restaurant!
Up in smoke is one of the best places to go eat in MC! They are at an elite level!! The food is outstanding especially the ribs tips and mac and cheese!! If your looking for delicious food this is the place for you!!!
Son had a baby shower coming up, we went to a couple of local BBQ places, and this was the best. Dragged my feet and ordered right at five days out. They came in on their day off and had the best rib tips and pulled pork. My go to spot now.
