Uoichiba for the win! I could eat these hand rolls daily and this spot is a no brainer for me when I'm at Citizen's Market. The counter is a fun place to hang or grab a meal to go. It holds up during travel and you'll want to come back for more. I'm always craving the fatty tuna. Staff is friendly and knows their fish.
Good spot for a quick bite when craving a handroll. Friendly service, sat at the bar and shared the 6 roll set.
Went here for the half off Extra Medium hand roll set($32 originally) on Sunday from 6-9pm. When we started to pay there was a 16% service fee that look very suspicious, and if you know how to math 16% of $16 is not $5.12. I brought it up to the server since the math was not mathing, and he said 16% of $16 is $5.12 and I was in awe. I just wanted an explanation. But ya the story is don’t go, not worth.
The hand rolls was ok, my favorite was the fatty tuna and that’s it. I would probably never come back. Just go to Yunomi behind Erewhon, get the spicy version, so much better.
Handrolls delicious in terms of both the fish and the rice. We tried the set of 4 - each one had a distinct seasoning and all very pleasant, our favorites being definitely the salmon and the prawn ones. Also enjoyed the hot fish bone soup - very soothing.
This sushi roll bar is the bomb. The rolls are legit, and the quality is off the charts. You can tell that the chefs here take pride in their work.
The atmosphere is chill and inviting, making it a great place to relax and enjoy your meal. The staff is friendly and knowledgeable, and they're always happy to make recommendations.
If you're looking for a great sushi experience, look no further. This place is the real deal. #SushiLover #FoodHeaven
The dry-aged fish tastes clean and are thickly cut in the handrolls, while the rice is seasoned nicely. My friend and I chose to dine-in at the bar and shared the Extra Medium Handrolls (6) $33. The friendly, attentive staff make the handrolls for you in the order of the menu and wait until you're done with each to hand over another fresh handroll, like a relaxed omakase experience. Both me and my friend liked the rich flavors of the fatty tuna handroll the most, but the clean crisp kampachi paired so well with a yuzu sauce that it was a close second. If you order to-go, you can get a bento set which was also good.
I love this place! I go almost every week, everyone is so friendly, the food is amazing and it comes out so quickly it’s perfect when you’re starving and need to eat quickly but also great for a chill vibe and good time with friends! They have yummy sake and the miso is great too. The fatty tuna is to die for.
The handrolls were actually delicious (still - kazunori is better for me)
The fish was fresh, my only issue is the service which is slow waiting between your handrolls and that their menu is not very customizable (meaning can’t have 3 handrolls that are salmon if that’s what you’re looking for).
No tap water too. Overall if you’re craving handrolls and not picky about the kind of fish you want (since it’s a set menu) worth a try. Otherwise, nothing special about them really.
