Been at this GP since 2012 - never had a problem. Always got an appointment, any queries or issues dealt with quickly and efficiently. Shout out to Zoe Boyes, Nurse Practitioner, for always being a phenomenal support, you have saved my sanity more times than I can count
Never had a bad experience with this doctors. The staff who have dealt with my issues have been AMAZING I cannot fault them. I want to give a massive appreciation to nurse Louise who was incredible throughout everything I had done. Shocked to hear bad reviews to be honest.
Was given a blood test that was scheduled three weeks upon booking despite having symptoms of dizziness, nausea, bruising in random areas and feeling too weak to get up in the mornings. All of which highly affecting daily life. Came in today for my scheduled 9am appointment on time to be told to come back at 3:15 and then called again by Karen to tell me to come at 2:05 because they confused the times. Was told to come for an early morning appointment to get CRP checked as it is a blood test that needs to be done early morning and now they want me to come later in the day because of a mistake they made. For a student struggling with mental health who is busy working two jobs at the same this has been very inconvenient. A true waste of time. Additionally, when I tried to raise a concern in a kind manner I was shut down by that rude receptionist who told me nothing can be done about it. Absolutely useless I would not recommend this place.
Went into the surgery yesterday evening to make an appointment, got told to call up this morning instead. 10 times I have called throughout the duration of this morning, and every single time after about a minute of ringing, I have either been bluntly cut off, or placed on hold then cut off. Not acceptable. Especially for someone with serious illnesses. The doctors and nurses are really understanding and helpful, but the reception staff need to get their act together.
This surgery is brilliant. Caring staff. The reception team are excellent.
It is a stretched service, as all of the NHS is overloaded, at the moment. When you need immediate care it is provided with care and compassion. However routine things, in all surgeries everywhere, have to wait.
I cannot describe all the help and support this practice has provided for my daughter. She has very complex needs which they are brilliant at providing.
I cannot thank you enough for all your support
All doctors and other clinicians at the surgery are brilliant and are great with any problems which need addressing, however from personal experiences and other peoples experiences which i am aware of i think that the reception staff either need further training or replacing. They are very unhelpful on the phone and frankly i found them to be very rude and quick to refer you to somewhere else instead of helping you. After having one of them become angry with me on the phone and hanging up numerous times, not only to me but other members of my family I have seen now that the staff are obviously poorly trained and bad mannered.
Mostly it’s good service, I get what I need. But sometimes bad experiences. Like being told I need to pay £15 for proof I was with paramedics for 14 seizures (point blank refused). Or being rudely told to go into surgery to order a prescription when I said I’m at home for a family emergency. I don’t wanna tell them I’m at home cos my brother committed suicide. I just need my pills
The university health Centre staff are shocking at answering the phone. It takes about 40-50 calls for them to answer. It's not that the phones engaged or busy, they just keep letting it ring. Then when and if they decide to answer you they refuse to give you an appointment without knowing why. I understand they ask and it can be useful, but if you are uncomfortable sharing the details of your visit you should not be refused or forced to tell. It's a complete. Isolation of privacy and confidentially rights. The do tors in the surgery are absolutely wonderful, but maybe they should consider getting reception staff who can do their job
