They really do an excellent job. It has a Christian foundation, Christian based. Friendly, family oriented and they have an excellent memory because they remember their customers. I went away to college, came back 4 years later and still remembered me. Got my hair washed, they suggested what products would work best for my hair since it's natural and curly. It's hard finding the right product for curly hair but they had the right one on deck that worked perfectly for my hair. It's easy to book an appointment and they have gift certificates if you want to treat someone to getting their hair done. They even have a barber in the back. Check em out.
This is my first time going to Unique Creations Beauty Salon and I must say that I was very impressed from the time that I arrived to my departure. The owners, who are Ms.Thelma and Ms. Velma are the most warm friendly people you ever want to meet! The salon has a warm and inviting atmosphere and set the mood for getting new and creative looks for hair styles! I was amazed how one of the owner's, Ms.Thelma, transformed my tightly, knotted and tangled hair to a fabulously sharp precision shortcut hairstyle! I love it!
The modernized salon is a clean and safe environment that the owners take very serious with the necessary precautions without making clients feel uncomfortable! I will gladly continue getting my hair done there and recommend newcomers to experience Unique Creations as well!
I had a 12:00 appointment for a consultation for locks. I got there early so I waited patiently till it was time for my appointment. At 12:05 I asked one of the stylings where is my hair stylist. He advised me to wait a few minutes and he would see what was going on. One of the owners I believe came out to inform me that my stylist was not there stating that she spoke to her and she was not aware she had an appointment. Now they have a system where they text you a day before to confirm the appointment which I did. The person who I was speaking to could not service me for another hour. Stated that this is not the way they do business. She didn't ask me if she could reschedule or anything. I just walked out. I guess they have a strong consumer base and that new customers are really not needed.
First time coming. Jeffrey did a great job washing my hair and scalp.Thelma was awesome. She gave me a trim on my natural hair and shaved and tapered my sides and back. I was very pleased because she not only did a great job, but she checked my scalp and told me why this is important to have this done. I'm staying with this place. You don't find to many stylist out here that specialize in hair care.
Ms Velma always do my locs right , and they are the best there is!
My boyfriend was told to be there for a retwist on his locs at 11:00, called at 1:40 to see if he was almost done...head wasn’t even touched yet. Very unprofessional! Why schedule an appointment for 11:00 only to have your client sitting & waiting for 3hrs before even getting in a chair?
I went in October of 2020 for starter locs with stylist James and from then it had been downhill . My First appointment he was late, second appointment he was late, third appointment he canceled and didn’t respond when I tried to reschedule and my last scheduled appointment he “wasn’t feeling good “ during the appointments that I did have with James he was way too vulgar with his words although being a funny guy but unprofessional and I have already found someone else to twist my locs. Thelma and Velma are lovely ladies and I wish they would’ve done my locs instead. The place is very clean and they follow COVID regulations.
Loved my experience, and loved my hair even more! You're treated like family. The shop is a very relaxed setting. The stylists give professional, top-notch service.
