First impression is that this place is small on the inside. Not too much room for dinning in maybe about 12 people fit inside. The guy that is taking your order is the owner I’m assuming, he’s not super welcoming, he’s just there waiting for your order but no greeting at all. It was our first time there so we didn’t know what to order, we had to ask the cook about the menu since the owner wasn’t the friendliest. The cook was nice and explained how everything worked. The prices are not bad they are about average, the food was good. The food took about 15 minutes after we ordered it. I would come again if I was in the area but wouldn’t go out of my way to come here
Definitely will be my go to fish and chips spot! The food at this place was amazing and the manager was really nice.
I ordered the fish and shrimp combo with fries/chips on the side and it was among the best ive ever had.
The food was crispy and cooked to perfection. I also love that they sell British groceries, and have traditional sides as well such as Mushy Peas.

Best fish n chips anywhere , I am so pleased by quality of fish and cooking style here at Union Jack.
During the time I walked in there was beautiful weather outside ; wide open were the restaurant's doors to peep' the scene. I ordered the London special and enjoyed it! I was given a package of malt vinegar for the fish along with tartar sauce the cooks offer too. "Absolutely nothing wrong with that"
Later, a friend told me the place probably has a chain of restaurants scattered across parts of the UK and other areas of the US. It's perfect for Fountain Valley.
My old-time favorite British food and fish and chips. Love the owner he is the most welcoming person. Goes above and beyond excellent service. It was fun to talk about old times growing up and coming in for our family weekly fish and chips
One of my favorite local businesses. The food is always consistently great. The two brother owners are always in good spirits and have great service.
I saw the reviews for this place were good, so I thought I would give it a try. 5 Stars all the way! Healthy? No. But dang was it great tasting! Large pieces of fish, crispy crust, fish cooked perfectly, and a good serving of fries. I will be coming back. -Steve
