Took about 40 minutes to cook a portion of chips and some onion rings. Chips were alright but the onion rings were the worst I've ever had. Ate half of one and threw the rest away. How they can knowingly serve crap like this to customers I don't know. No mayonnaise either... Avoid if possible!

Best fish and chips for miles. Nice staff, very reasonable prices, very varied menu. Can't fault this place except that the owners an Arsenal fan! Come on you Spurs!!! So sorry to hear that the shop is for sale. A great loss to Tintagel and all of us who visit every year. Good luck, Tottenham Bob.

Visiting the area, what can I say, they best bit of cod I've have in a long time, chips was very good. Prices very good!

Very busy place, not surprised really. Everything is cooked fresh! Staff are very polight, clean place. Serving from Cod to Kebab and jacket potato. Worth the 5 * I've given. Spot on guys

Great food but at busy times be prepared for a wait because they make the effort to allow the fish to rest after frying. Worth it though, best takeaway fish n chips I've had.

Everything is freshly cooked to order and is quality fish n chips. Telephone ordering advised. I use this fish and chip shop all year around have never had any bad food.

Unbelievable..............we ordered a large cod and chips, and one sausage. We went into the chippy before 8 o'clock and were still waiting for our food half an hour later.

Now okay, sometimes this is to be expected, especially if it's really busy............but this was not the case!!!!!

Having worked in a chippy, I more than understand how important it is to serve lovely, tasty food......FAST.

We were bundled back inside at 8.20 so that the closed sign could be displayed.....other people walked in afterwards to be directed to another chippy down the road, which actually closed an hour earlier than this one.....I have never witnessed one chip shop sending custoners away to another chippy !!

There were 3 people working.....the owner/fryer?....a young man who was finishing/bagging the orders and a young girl who to be honest just looked like she was a skivvy.

At one point the fryer went next door to buy himself a six pack of lager, and then promptly cracked one open, while he still had customers waiting for their orders????????

In my opinion either this Southern gent is very new to the chip shop business or he cannot cope with any pressure whatsoever..........if you want to call serving more than two customers at once actual pressure?

Reading the other 3 reviews, I can only imagine these have been posted by close friends/family as they definitely DO NOT show a true reflection of this establishment !!

And to top it all, the food was nothing very special either.

I had battered sausage and chips, sausage was nice but the chips really weren’t tasted funny like maybe the oil needed changing.my partner had fish n chips and wasn’t impressed with the fish. It was a very long wait for the food but the staff seemed friendly though all stood round a little lost.

We walked past the shop earlier in the weekend and the food smelt fantastic. So looking forward to sampling the food we returned on Sunday only to find the shop was shut. No note on the door explaining why they weren't open. Very disappointed as smelt so good but can only give it a 1 star if it's not open when it's supposed to be.
