Best KPortal Reviews

I recently dined at Umi Sushi & Seafood Buffet and had an overall positive experience. The food quality was impressive, particularly the all-you-can-eat crab legs, which were the main attraction for me and definitely lived up to expectations. The sushi and seafood selection was fresh and tasty, offering a wide variety to choose from.
However, the service was notably slow, which did impact the experience a bit. It took a while for our table to be cleared and for some requests to be attended to. Additionally, the desserts were a bit underwhelming and could use some improvement to match the high quality of the main courses.
Despite these minor issues, I’d still recommend Umi Sushi & Seafood Buffet for the delicious food and especially for the crab legs. A solid four-star experience!
Straight up wonderful!! Absolutely excellent sushi and seafood buffet (has hot pot also). Went on Saturday was $40.23 a person after tax and absolutely worth the price. Crab, lobster, all you can eat sushi as in real sushi. Crab claws , fruit, chi tea, best selection I have seen of seafood and sushi in indiana. Excellent service!! I recommend trying this at least once. I see my self going back many times!
Okay if I could give this Buffet zero Stars I absolutely would. They do have all you can eat crab legs which made it worth my $40 because I can eat $40 and crab legs but everything else was disgusting the sushi was so old that the rice was hard on everything their fried rice was not like any fried rice I had ever had almost White instead of brown. No egg rolls whatsoever which I thought was crazy their steak was absolutely the toughest you have ever been into their salad dressing was in mustard bottles over on the side table they were labeled because they weren't real name brand type of stuff they were all House made so like House made Italian House made Ranch House made A1 steak sauce and it was not even close to any of those. But they are all plainly labeled over at a small table in mustard bottles. They're dessert bar look like everything had been there for hours and hours which I don't understand because they were so busy but all of their food was so old it was ancient I'm talking historic here. Anyways it's $40 a person in the evening it's like I said if you just go crazy on crab legs like I do you can just do that but I assure you there's not much else worth eating. Very disappointing.. and maybe it was just me but I felt like I was being watched by people that worked there..idk.. weird place just be cautious.. they did have squid there I'm sure you can't get squid at every restaurant and it looked like squid to suction cups and all.. as you sit there eating the nasty food you'll see out the window a Red Lobster right across the street. You should have went there and I don't even like Red Lobster
We opted to give this buffet a try for the first time. The experience surpassed the typical buffet style. The cooked sushi options were decent, but the Pepsi products for drinks weren't to my liking. They offered boba, which was overly sweet but had decent flavor. Finding ingredients for the hot pot was challenging since we were unfamiliar with it. Overall, the food quality was decent for a buffet, and we might return for the seafood selection.
I came on mother’s days and it was PACKED. They tried to say my mom didn’t pay for her meal so that was an entire ordeal smh. Aside from that that food was cool. Surprised they didn’t have egg rolls.
I’d return, but make sure you KEEP YOUR RECEIPT!!!
Pricey seafood buffet with EXCELLENT SELECTION on good to great quality food, a lovely interior and prompt service from staff.
TOP DISHES
???? Sashimi selection is worth it
???? Ox Tail, literally so tender
???? Pickled Cabbage Fish, umami
PRICE
You'll likely get sticker shock at this buffet place because it was $37/adult on the weekend. It's about $18 per child so if you plan to come with a large family, it'll add up.
FOOD
???? Sushi bar was superb -10/10. It was definitely fresh and there was a lot of variety in terms of rolls and sashimi.
???? Crab legs were also plentiful, mostly at the cold bar.
???? The bubble tea bar was a let down - 4/10. Watered down flavors and minimal balls/bubbles in each drink. They could definitely do better.
Overall, best buffet food in Indy. However, for the price, it's debatable that if you just wanted sushi, it would be better to go to a sushi/Japanese restaurant.
You really are paying to try a VARIETY of 8/10 quality food.
So glad we came today! It’s a great place to try a variety of food and enjoy UNLIMITED bubble tea with your friend! I finally found the place that offers braised pork belly in a buffet! I mean, I am already amazed by the amount/variety of sushi they offer, plus fresh crabs, grilled shrimp, lamb, and pan seared salmon that melts in your mouth….. and they have duck and braised pork belly too?! THIS PLACE IS AWESOME. Side notes: bubble tea is just alright, don’t get your hopes up. It’s water mixed with cheap milk powder…. So not quite the same as what you would get from a Chinese bubble tea shop. Still, I appreciate they have it for the buffet.
it honestly looks nicer online than in person. the buffet food was fine, but there was a tag in the food?? they have a variety of foods but many of their fruits felt older and there weren’t as many drink options- i’m guessing they have more on the weekends. the inside is nice overall. just really disappointed about the tag
