My boyfriend and I ordered the Umi Supreme, which is filet mignon, lobster, shrimp and scallops. We both ordered our steak rare. It was given to us very well done. The cook didn't understand when I asked for him to make ours rare again. I had to flag down our waitress when I finally found her and explained about our steak. She said she might be able to have another one made for me because it was sitting on my plate, but told me that my boyfriend couldn't because he ate his steak. I explained that he ate it because he was hungry and we couldn't find a waitress. She was rude but brought me one side of filet finally. I will never go back again because she was so incredibly rude and wouldn't let me speak to anyone else. Unfortunate because I enjoyed getting sushi there throughout the years. Deeply disappointed.
The food was excellent and all of it was made fresh to order. The waitress we had was extremely nice and was helpful and knowledgeable about the menu items. She even suggested I dip my hibachi noodles in the hibachi sauce (which was an excellent idea I hadn't even thought of).
The food was good. My family of 6 adults was sat at a table with a family of 4 with 2 small children. The soup and salad were tasty before the hibachi. The rolls were quite large, as were the special drinks. The only complaint would be to have more options for the hibachi, preferably (such as tofu). But it was a nice experience. I probably wouldn't go again, though.

No waiting time to be seated. (5pm) Couldn't have the hibachi as I was alone and it seems they only do groups but that was okay.
Ordered and my meal was ready very quickly..I changed somethings in my order to suit my taste and they had no problems with this. Servings are the size you would expect in a up scale restaurant. (Though I wouldn't class this as up scale.) From what I see, they are trying to market to the younger generation and make it more modern - this is not a bad thing at all and It has no bearing on the quality of food or staff. I ordered a few dishes to try and I was pleased by everything that was put before me taste wise, the presentation needs some work though. It has some nice lighting and so forth and is more modern than traditional Japanese restaurants that I prefer. (I lived in Japan for two years and I am used to the traditional Japanese architectural design) But all in all it is a nice looking place. My waitress was quick and always offered me water and asked if I needed anything.
I gave a 18% tip and no complaints from them with this as I have read in other reviews. All in all it was a pleasant meal.
Would I eat here again? Probably not. My choice to not eat here again is not based on the quality of food or the staff. It is only because I prefer a more traditional Japanese atmosphere.
I do recommend giving the restaurant a try :)
I come here every Sunday (and sometimes in between)! Never disappointed and the staff always makes me feel welcome. My drug of choice is usually the umi bridge or sake Don with a hot sake. Happy to be a returning customer. See you next Sunday, for sushi Sunday!
Fantastic food, rolls and hibachi are absolutely delicious... will definitely be back! Also of they are too busy to seat you order takeout! Just as fantastic at home at your table!
My family and I eat at this establishment very frequently because their food tastes amazing. Unfortunately, we have had several bad experiences with one specific waitress. This waitress is fairly young and she has a very rude manner when talking with customers or dealing with issues that customers bring to her attention. The way that this employee handled the situation was very rude and truly ruined my experience. Great food but awful server!
