Cutest unexpected cafe on our way from South Lake Tahoe to the airport! Would highly recommend stopping!! Great bagel sandwiches and quiche!!! We also got homemade chocolate chip cookies on the house that were amazing!!
This was the perfect roadside stop after hiking! I got a peppermint latte with oat milk and was given a free cookie. Also, the fireplace kept the room warm and cozy.
Stopped by here on the way back to Sac from Heavenly to grab some coffee for the drive. Ended up having a great convo with the owner, Scotty, (who's a part time ski instructor btw). Really welcoming environment, and the coffee was just what we needed to get us through the drive. Didn't get a chance to try the food but overall a very positive experience at this little gem off the highway. Definitely recommend.
Such a mountain gem! Scott welcomed us and made delicious lattes. Amazing local history and a mountain ambience, as well as local crafts.and art for purchase. I Beautiful!
I've driven by this place hundreds of times driving from Sacramento to Tahoe. I ran in to use the bathroom and saw the sign that restrooms were for customers only. So I bought a soda. When I was done doing my business, the smell of the ribs cooking caught my attention. They smelled too good to pass up so I ordered a plate. Came with a pile of ribs, corn on the cob, Cole slaw and a warm bun. Tasty BBQ sauce and lots of napkins thank God!! This historic building was built in 1886 and much of the original architecture has been preserved. Hours weekdays 7-3 Closed Wednesday and Thursday. Hours are seasonal so call to check their hours. This cafe is in it's first year of business, the place has great atmosphere, great food and friendly service. I give this place 5 stars all the way around. Scotty Brooks, the owner has done a great job putting this together. Well done!! One more thing, you get a free home made cookie with every purchase!!
Took a quick pit stop here to use the bathroom and get some coffee and a snack. Expectations were exceeded as the bathroom was very clean, the owner gave us a free homemade chocolate cookie chip cookie, and the everything bagel and cream cheese we ordered was perfectly toasted and delicious! Will 100% stop by here again next time we’re passing through!
Drove one hour from Folsom on a Sunday to find the place closed. No note on door; nothing online. Fun!!
Love the coffee, the hotdogs and the ambience. Very friendly attendant too.
