Not Turtles restaurant, the turtle grill!
Lots of variety, big menu. The appetizer tacos are huge! And so tasty. You might not have to order more if you get those and aren't super hungry. The staff is very friendly.
Waiter was the worst waiter in the universe. Had him a few weeks ago messed up than and did it all over again tonight. Made my evening out a waste of $35. Food was cold ,my frozen drink was melted when I finally got it . baked potato was so cold the butter didn't melt. Never brought napkins,never came back to ask if we needed anything, never brought our drinks. Was very nice to the table next to us because they were from wisconsin. I live in walking distance the place was so convenient to just go have a quick bit and a few drinks but once you get a waiter like this guy twice in a row it's time to find a new place to go to. wish the service was better. He must be related to the owner.
I should've asked for the manager and told him . And he over charged us both times
Great menu choices. Service was excellent and so was our burger and grilled cheese. Truly relaxing tiki experience. Other patrons agreed- dog friendly and even though we arrived 45 minutes before closing we never felt rushed. Will be back
Typical bar fare..
Pretty tasty Reuben, excellent tequila margarita, -fresh ingredients, not premade per our server. Friendly atmosphere. Have a go.
We had a great start with cold drinks & yummy apps…FYI they have Heineken Zero for you non-drinkers (bonus)! The apps we ordered were fried avocado fries & sweet spicy fried shrimp & lobster bisque soup…all awesome!!!! Dinner was a bit 1/2 & 1/2 amongst the table. Kids mac & cheese was ok, firs were good. The friend coconut mahi mahi was not good. The grouper blackened was good. The sea bass wasn’t the best. Kid friendly. Great atmosphere on the water.
My first time diner here. I took my parents to listen to the live music of Patti Highland. She performs Saturdays from 5-8:30 p.m. outside under a large well built Tiki Hut. We all enjoyed our dinners and were well taken care of by Eric our waiter. Patti was fantastic as a singer. We are BIG fans of her. There was a nasty smell when I stepped into the restaurant. I am thankful my parents never went in. I hope this smell gets addressed immediately.
I believe the saving grace for this restaurant is the ambient, waterfront dining.
Serious concerns are the quality and taste of the food and restroom cleanliness. Restroom reveals what could have happened behind the kitchen and/or possibly the pride and responsibility of the staff and management. Judge for yourself.
Please be brave to order their new chef's menu chef's menu and rate it later. We did not have great experience with the chef's choice.
We ordered the Lobster Ravioli for appetizer. Sadly, not only the price was horrifically high, but, it came with just two raviolis and absolutely tasted awful. The raviolis were doughy possibly improperly cooked. The lobster filling was ok as long as you grind a bunch of black pepper and salt on them. Look at the picture and judge the doughy ravioli yourself. We were disappointed with the price of $15 for two terrible raviolis. Sadly, when we shared our concern with the waiter, he just deflected our concerns and never even offered to relay our comments to the chef or management. We were told that that is how they make them and too bad we didn't like it! No comp either which we didn't care about spending the money as long as the dish is good!
We ordered shrimp and scallop pasta which turned out better than expected. Quite a small portion though since the dish is $28!
Do I recommend this place visitors visiting Siesta Key for the first time and have limited time to taste all the restaurants? NO! Better spend your time and money at the Village with plenty of other excellent reviewed restaurants. Unfortunate for us since we had unpleasant appetizer and overpriced meal. I guess we paid for the ambient only and can't positively rave on the food, pricing and service.
Great service by friendly knowledgeable server. Good food with a nice location across from the campground. Indoor and outdoor dining available. It was windy when we were there so they had the plastic sides down out on the tiki hut which made the temperature nice. Enjoyed our experience here!
