Experience Classic Americana cuisine in this pristine throwback diner and remember the simpler times of life in the 1950-60s. Burgers are on point and loved the sweet potato fries. The waitress was also very friendly. Bonus for Electric Vehicles - there is a charging station in this parking lot. Go enjoy a burger while you charge before you hit a charging desert in Kansas!
Saw the Cadillac in the air and thought it would be a great place to stop. The manager said they had been closed but reopened for business around December 1st 2023. The Jalapeno Cheeseburger was great!!! The new menu is simple and food was served fast. The manager checked on us to make sure all was good. Worth the time to stop and try something new and unique and get a good meal instead of the chain fast foods or restaurants
Really nice town and diner. I loved how classic the diner was but also how nice and clean. Service was fantastic. Food was very high quality for a diner. If we come through this way we will be back for sure.
Could get a better burger at a carnival.or ball game for less. I don't think the food is cooked to order but microwaved. The burgers appear to have fake grill marks, no seasoning and bun was smashed flat in the foil wrapper.
Their business model is to rip off the travelers on I70 for as much money as possible for cheap poor quality product knowing that the travelers would never be a repeat customer and come back again anyway..
Ordered to go burgers:
Opened it in the car and saw it was a smashed bun on an old looking hamburger patty. The store does not smell like any grill is working either so I'm assuming they may be cooking the food off site and reheating it in a microwave.
Walked back in to ask for the standard burger vegetables I requested when I paid and felt like the omission was intentional. Cook glared at me twice. Very negative vibe!
A hamburger freshly grilled with grill marks would have some flavor and these burgers had NO flavor at all. Their chicken and hamburgers are probably microwaved tyson food patties.
The business is now under new ownership, which appears very recent. We were not disappointed after ordering the Fried Chicken Sandwich, which was CRISPY and HOT! We had fries, which were also crispy and hot. Their ranch dressing was delicious on both the sandwich and fries. And, the chocolate malt....YUMMY! It's definitely worth the stop. Great people and atmosphere to boot!
This was a very cool diner with clearly awesome people working there. My burger was pretty basic, but it was cooked well and tasted great! The fries were hot and fresh, but were lacking flavor. Nevertheless, it was a great stop to make on my trip and I would totally go back.
The fries were great, the shake was great, visually the burger was great but the patties were a bit overcooked and tasted like the cooks had never heard of salt before.
The diner exceeded our expectations! Delicious food, plenty of friendly staff and good prices to boot! We will definitely be coming back.
